How They Met
Introduced by a mutual friend in August 2021, Krisha and Dhruv felt an instant spark that quickly blossomed into something beautiful. In just three weeks, they transitioned from strangers to soulmates, both sensing that this connection was truly one-of-a-kind.

The Proposal
Dhruv took Krisha by surprise on the night of her 25th birthday—a celebration she had meticulously planned with 60–70 of their closest friends and cousins. As the evening unfolded, Dhruv took the microphone under the guise of delivering a birthday toast. What began as a sweet tribute slowly transformed into an emotional, heartfelt proposal. At just the right moment, their families emerged at the front, holding placards that read, ‘Will you marry me?’

Wedding Planning
Anant Khandelwal from IWP – Indian Wedding Planners shares, “Krisha and Dhruv always knew they wanted a destination wedding. Once they locked in the dates for 25th and 26th December, the planning began in full swing. They wanted the wedding to be fun, wholesome, and filled with love, with 380 guests who were all deeply connected to the couple. While most traditional pre-wedding rituals were hosted in Mumbai, the Jaipur celebrations were envisioned as two and a half days of non-stop celebration.”

Krisha shares, “Right from the outset, the experience with IWP – Indian Wedding Planners was a perfect blend of creativity, precision, and seamless execution. Among the many innovative touches, one truly stood out: a bespoke car audio welcome that greeted guests arriving from the airport. Designed like a personalised radio station, it offered a warm introduction to the upcoming festivities and set the tone for the thoughtfully curated celebrations that followed. The team had a very strong sense of execution and experience. They made sure everything was handled smoothly and brought our ideas to life. Dedicated members of the team ensured I felt pampered, supported, and completely at ease throughout the festivities.”

Wedding Functions
Bridal Mehndi
This function marked the beginning of the wedding festivities and was lovingly crafted as a family mehendi. While Krisha got her bridal henna done, so did her closest friends and family, turning it into a collective, joy-filled celebration. Anant shares, “The décor embraced a soft, traditional palette, brought to life with cheerful pops of pink, yellow, and orange. Fresh marigolds and fragrant rajnigandha were artfully woven into intricate floral arrangements, crafting a vibrant, Rajasthani-inspired setting that exuded warmth and charm. The event featured live Rajasthani folk music and traditional dancers, adding a regional touch that beautifully set the tone for what was to come. With loved ones gathered close and spirits high, this mehendi was an emotional and colorful start to a wedding filled with meaning.”

Welcome Dinner
Dreamy and minimal, the Welcome Dinner was set beneath the open sky with soft white florals, flickering candlelight, and subtle gold accents. The entire space glowed under the moonlight, with a gentle breeze and just the right chill in the air, perfectly capturing the magic of a winter night in Jaipur. Dhruv and Krisha walked hand in hand, unable to hide their excitement as they stepped into their second celebration. “We were so thrilled to kick off our celebrations with the people who know us best,” Krisha shares. “We walked in way too fast — we just couldn’t wait to soak it all in!” Although the couple had imagined it would be a calm, laid-back start, the night organically evolved into a full-fledged celebration, with guests dancing, indulging in cocktails.

Mehndi and Welcome Lunch
The décor brought together the vibrance of Rajasthan with a festive yet contemporary touch. Traditional block prints, marigolds, rajnigandha, and bright colors like hot pink, orange, green, and white created a lively palette. Elements like umbrellas, puppets, and regional fabrics elevated the design with cultural charm, while modern floral detailing kept it fresh and stylish. Anant shares, “The Mehendi and Welcome Lunch had something for everyone — traditional dholwalas welcomed guests, who were handed colorful scarves to wave during the couple’s entry. A series of family and friends’ performances on stage added a personal, joyful layer to the afternoon. The personalised bar featured Rajasthan-inspired cocktails, and every bar collateral — from coasters to stirrers — was custom-designed to match the event’s décor and color palette. Interactive activities included a block printing counter (where guests could print on bottle bags and saree covers), a live astrologer, and a mentalist who roamed the crowd with playful tricks and surprises.”

Sangeet
With royal blue as the base and accents of silver, crystals, and shimmer, the venue was transformed into a dramatic, high-energy setting. Statement chandeliers, luxe fabrics, and reflective installations gave the room a dazzling glow. Anant adds, “Dhruv and Krisha made their entry with a fun twist: Dhruv danced in with four of his closest girl friends, while Krisha entered with four boys from her circle — both performing to their favourite Bollywood tracks. Following this was a spectacular lineup of 11 family and friends’ performances. People danced their hearts out, sipped custom cocktails, and truly let their hair down. The ice bar was a huge hit, adding a cool experiential element with customised cocktails. From bar menus to coasters and stirrers, every piece was personalised to match the theme. The food spread was extensive and eclectic, with over six live counters offering everything from Indian to Asian to Italian, curated to keep guests energised all night long.”

Brunch
Inspired by English garden aesthetics, the Brunch was a pastel dream, with shades of blush, peach, ivory, and soft green creating a serene and elegant setting. Held on the party lawn, the setup featured hydrangea-filled floral arrangements, a central round bar with a fountain, and delicate European-inspired details. The entire space was airy, fresh, and designed to feel like a gentle pause between the bigger celebrations. Anant shares, “The couple kept the tone intentionally low-key, with a focus on rejuvenation and light-hearted interactions. Guests indulged in a specially curated detox bar serving fresh juices and health shots, while those still in the mood could enjoy light cocktails as well. Thoughtfully planned interactive counters added charm to the event, including an evil eye bracelet station and a candle-making booth where guests could create personalized keepsakes. The food setup was focused on live counters rather than a heavy meal, offering light, flavorful options that paired perfectly with the brunch vibe. From fresh salads to global comfort bites, it was all about easy indulgence.”

Wedding
“The couple chose a color palette of maroon, gold, ivory, and green to complement the grandeur of the setting and contrast beautifully with their ivory wedding outfits. The mandap was positioned to feature the stunning backdrop, with floral detailing and traditional drapes that elevated the space into a true ceremonial dreamscape. The pheras were timed for golden hour — exactly as Krisha had envisioned — allowing the ceremony to unfold in the soft, natural glow of the setting sun. The pheras were accompanied by live musical renditions, which brought a soulful, emotional energy to the ceremony.
For the first varmala, Krisha made a solo entrance across the pool while Dhruv waited at the end — a quiet, magical moment where they saw each other for the first time that day. Following the varmala, Dhruv made his way down to the mandap while Krisha stepped away to prepare for her second entry, which was equally meaningful. She descended the grand staircase surrounded by her bridesmaids, who pulled back dupattas to reveal her. Her cousin brothers then walked her under a phoolon ki chaadar, with her sibling eventually handing her over to her father, who led her to the mandap”, shares Anant.

Cocktail
Anant shares, “While the pheras were hosted at the poolside earlier that evening, the Cocktail took place on the adjacent lawn — a clever switch that allowed the team to reimagine the same venue in an entirely new way. The décor was elegant, romantic, and dreamy, with white florals, gold accents, soft uplighting, and touches of red woven in subtly through the arrangements. Chandeliers and a candle-lit aesthetic completed the transformation, giving the space a regal yet modern feel under the night sky.” Making their first official appearance as husband and wife, Krisha and Dhruv walked down the staircase hand-in-hand, surrounded by cheers, sparklers, and a rush of emotion. The couple then cut their wedding cake and popped champagne in a stunning champagne tower setup, ending the moment with a grand fireworks display that lit up the Jaipur sky.
Krisha shares, “It rained in Jaipur on 26th December. But we were lucky, we’d finished our first dance, speeches, cake, champagne, and even the fireworks just in time.”

After Party
The After Party was always planned to follow the Cocktail — shifting the celebrations indoors. The theme was intentionally light-hearted and Bollywood-inspired, with quirky touches like vintage records, popcorn motifs, and bold graphic elements. The space was designed to feel easy, fun, and dance-ready — the perfect finale to two days of grand celebrations. Anant shares, “Thanks to an unexpected rain shower during the Cocktail, the After Party simply started earlier than expected — and no one was complaining. Guests moved in and immediately hit the dance floor, ready to bring the night to a close with energy and joy.” Krisha adds, “Everyone was dancing, laughing, and just completely immersed in the moment. It was the perfect way to end our celebrations.”

Advice For Couples
If there’s one thing Krisha swears by, it’s thoughtful preparation. “Start early, plan well, and avoid leaving anything to the last minute—because the final months can get hectic. You want to be present and enjoy that time, not buried in logistics,” she advises.
Equally important, she believes, is prioritising self-care during the whirlwind of celebrations. “Get your sleep, eat well, and if possible, book foot massages between events! It kept me going across back-to-back functions.”
But her most heartfelt takeaway? “Stay true to yourself. Your wedding should feel like you. Don’t compromise on the things that matter—whether it’s your outfits, your entries, the food, or the music. This day isn’t coming back, so create moments you’ll genuinely love remembering.”
