How they met
Hailing from Chennai and Kolkata respectively, Krithika and Shreyansh crossed paths in Singapore while studying at the same university. Friends for a long time, they gave in to their feelings with time and made it official soon after they graduated.

Wedding Planning
The couple envisioned a destination wedding by the beach that not only celebrated their tastes but also their Tamil Brahmin and Marwari customs. After exploring up and down the coastline, they zeroed in upon the Radisson Blu Resort Temple Bay Mahabalipuram for its enchanting atmosphere and striking outdoor spaces. The Wedding Experience was tasked with everything from planning and design to execution of the wedding. Making the most of what the venue had to offer, the team unleashed their creativity to craft unique themes and memorable festivities for every function.

Wedding Functions
Mehendi
Starting the festivities on a high, the Mehendi function was full of colorful decor and fun activities. A vibrant combination of desi and kitsch elements added to the lush greenery of the space and the beautiful bougainvillea trees, while a mimosa bar and coconut carts helped guests beat the Chennai heat. Balloon darts, giant Jenga, mehendi artists, and more kept the guests entertained and engaged, along with a custom block printing station where guests could print tote bags they could keep as a keepsake.

Wedding
Imagined against the pristine backdrop of the Bay of Bengal, the couple’s varmala and phera ceremony was a harmonious blend of their distinct traditions. Crafted in a palette of pink, purple, and white with brass elements, the tranquil decor sought inspiration from different parts of the country. The mandap featured motifs that paid homage to the crafts of North India, with floral accents of lotus, marigolds, and tuberoses nodding to the customs of the South, beautifully signifying the union of both cultures. The couple exchanged varmalas amidst a flower shower on the deck, before tying the knot to the sound of ocean waves.
