Wedding Planning

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Kritika and Jacob’s wedding faced multiple delays. But in the end, it all ironed out successfully. Unfazed by the shortened guest list and the several challenges that they faced, the couple orchestrated a simple yet stunning wedding in Kochi. For the traditional rituals of the wedding, the duo chose St. Mary’s Syro Malabar Cathedral Basilica, a spacious cathedral founded in the 12th century that boasts of breathtaking paintings that gives one the impression of angels looking down on you warmly.

Helming the photography front was Drita Photography who comprehended the couple’s vision and used their creativity to capture the wedding in myriad, heartwarming shots. Jebin Drita, from Drita Photography shares, “We tried to capture the emotions and joy of every single person who was part of this wedding. Be it Kritika’s humor, the groom’s warmth or the aunt’s sassiness, everything was caught on camera! The bride and groom weren’t too keen on choreographed posing, but nevertheless we managed to photograph a few candid and lovable moments that looked even better!”

Meticulously planned and tastefully executed, the wedding went ahead seamlessly. After the serene rituals in the church, the couple celebrated their wedding at a posh hotel where the stage was adorned with jasmine garlands, foliage and dusty pink and gold elements. As soulful music played in the background, the guests mingled and conversed freely. To kickstart their journey, the newlyweds popped some bubbly and cut a delicious wedding cake. Jacob’s speech left everyone emotional while his brother Paul made everyone chuckle at his jokes! When quizzed about his favorite memory of the wedding, Jacob said, “The one moment that I will always fondly look back on is when I first caught a glimpse of Kritika arriving at church. She simply took my breath away.”
