Guests from 33 countries came together at the ultimate beach destination of India, Goa to celebrate the union of Karan from Kolkata and Laura from Colombia, with unparalleled revelries spanning 9 rocking functions in 3 days. Wedding Venue
With guests flying in from around the world, most of whom were their friends, and hence comprised of a younger age bracket, the couple wanted their wedding to be all about fun, dancing and partying. They wanted their celebration to be an enjoyable getaway where everyone could mingle and enjoy different cultural offerings, and Goa hit the bill for that perfectly. The festivities were hosted at Holiday Inn, Goa.

Wedding Planning
Hailing from different countries, the couple wanted their wedding to be a celebration of both their cultures, and the team of The Doli Diary planned their dream wedding to perfection. Over extensive virtual communication from around the world, the team pulled off every detail of their requirements, creating something that catered beautifully to the couple and their very varied guest list.

The vibrant wedding moments were translated into gorgeous memories by the team of Framed. Blending into the festivities, they captured every emotion in vivid beauty.

The wedding kicked off with a celebratory Goan welcome, where the guests were checked in amidst fun, quirky décor and traditional drum beats. They were also offered custom made luggage tags as keep sakes.

Sangeet
The Sangeet ceremony was a warm, lively shindig with shimmering lights, mirrors, neon signs casting a magical glow on the green surroundings. Open wooden teepee seating hung with fairy lights dotted the venue. The evening saw rocking performances while the fantastic Bollywood band Tamasha had everyone grooving till the wee hours. The groom looked dapper in an asymmetrical achkan and dhoti while the bride wore two outfits for the night, one being a shimmering gold dress and the other, a ruffled lavender lehenga.

Mehndi
A contemporary play on the famous Rajasthani experience of Chokhi Dhani, the Mehndi festivities next morning saw eclectic food stalls activities and traditional artists for a fun filled, engaging soiree. Drapes of white, orange and pink conjured a colorful canopy while beautiful flowers and vibrant Rajasthani props and paraphernalia lent a charming vibe to the event. The guests were treated to a bangle and dandiya cart, a tarot card reader, a quirky bar, a coconut water station and much more, as they danced, played games and got their hands decorated with henna. The groom donned a soothing peach Bandi jacket and kurta combination while the bride wore a mustard saree.

White Wedding and Reception
The Mehndi was followed by a beguiling beach ceremony and a stunning dinner reception hosted in a traditional Christian setting. A Breathtaking floral arch of periwinkle and lavender hued blooms and foliage greeted the guests as they walked down the path lined with hanging lanterns. The wedding aisle was flanked by landmark moments of the couple’s relationship, leading up to the beautiful, minimalistic alter. The bride wore a breezy ivory gown with delicate lace and floor length cape style sleeves, while the groom wore a chic light grey suit, with perfectly coordinated squads in tow. In a heartwarming turn of events, both the bride and the groom were walked down the aisle by their mothers, where they exchanged their vows against a magical sunset.

The nuptials were followed by an intimate, elegant dinner with traditional wedding games, speeches and cake-cutting.

Holi
The last day of the celebrations began with a bang, comprising of a colorful Haldi and Holi function. With a sunny citrus-hued setup of drapes, marigolds, flamingoes and other fun props, the event was an explosion of color as everyone played with Holi colors, consumed fun cocktails and got novelty foot massages. Dressed in shades of yellow and white, the couple was smeared with turmeric paste by their friends and family.

Indian Wedding
The spectacular 3-day affair came to an end with the Indian nuptials followed by a formal reception. With a color palette comprising of orange pink and white, the décor saw breezy drapes and floral setups that added a punch of colors to the canvas of sand and sea. Decked up in a serene peach sherwani, the groom arrived in an orange vintage car, while the bride entered demurely as she walked under a gorgeous phoolon ki chadar wearing an embellished peach and red lehenga. The couple exchanged varmalas amidst an enchanting flower shower, before heading to the reception dinner. For the formal event, the bride shed her bridal dupatta and additional accessories and switched to a peach dupatta, while the groom took off his wedding accessories for a minimalistic look.
