Wedding Planning
Hosted in The Leela Palace Chennai and ITC Grand Chola, Margarette and Joshua’s wedding was one of Chennai’s most high-profile and luxurious celebrations. With just 20 days to plan and execute such a massive undertaking, the team of Spize Weddings & Events had their work cut out for them! Delivering a seamless large-scale event with multiple stakeholders and tight timelines was undoubtedly a huge responsibility, but the team took up the challenge and made sure the wedding was one of its kind and transformed the Jeppiaar family’s dream into reality.
Wedding Functions
Sangeet
Inspired by the Jeppiaar Family’s origins in the coastal town of Kanyakumari, the grand ballroom of The Leela Palace was transformed into an under-the-sea wonderland. The theme of Oceanic Elegance combined the serene beauty of the sea with refined sophistication using soothing blues, teals, and neutrals with touches of metallic accents. The smooth textures, elegant nautical motifs, and soft, ambient lighting all came together to create a calm and luxurious atmosphere for an evening of merriment. The couple dazzled in a shimmering champagne-hued lehenga and a sequinned black tuxedo respectively as they exchanged garlands, cut a grandiose tiered cake, and shared their first dance, setting the tone for vibrant performances by their loved ones.
Church Wedding
With a vision to maintain the essence of a Church Wedding, the nuptials at Besantnagar Church saw minimalistic decor of white flowers and gold mirrors that were classic and neat. Opting for a timeless gold palette for herself and her bridesmaids, the bride wore a beautiful Anamika Khanna saree with a beaded cathedral-length veil, complimenting her groom in a brown checked suit.
Reception
Hosting their Reception at the ITC Grand Chola, the couple wanted the space to be a magical escape that made their guests feel like they were not in a hotel. Taking a cue from their love of flowers, Team Spize Weddings & Events transformed the hall into a blooming paradise. Everything from the landing area lounges to all 6 Halls of the venue was sumptuously designed with rich arrangements of flowers and foliage, mesmerizing canopies, chandeliers, and more. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the exceptional stage decor that beautifully framed the special moments of the newlyweds and their loved ones.
