How They Met
“Neeraj and I met at our spiritual organization, The Heartfulness Institute. It was an arranged marriage and his was the first proposal I had received. We instantly went ahead with it. I had no doubts. In fact, both Neeraj and I had this ‘sure shot’ feeling that we were meant to be.”

Wedding Venue
Meera gives her reasons for zeroing in on their wedding venue, saying, “The venue for our wedding celebration was ITC Grand Chola, Chennai. Having been in the wedding industry for a long time, I was quite comfortable with the management of the hotel and was familiar with their impeccable service.”

Wedding
Describing how she undertook the task of creating her ideal decor, the bride says, “Whenever I visualized my wedding, I always had one word come to mind: dreamy. Being a wedding planner left me spoilt for choice as there has been such beautiful decor that I have seen over the years. However, the one thing that directly connects with me as ‘dreamy’ is clouds. So, with the décor, what I was standing around mattered much less to me than what I was standing under! Experimenting with ceiling details, we strategically designed the décor so that it looked layered and enhanced against a jet-black background.”

She adds, “My imagination has always been my superpower. I envision spaces for what they can be rather than what they are. ‘Into the Woods’ is what I came up with for my own wedding. After negotiating the various angles and space, I visualized what I wanted. The final outcome was a dreamy ceiling with clouds, gypsophila, fairy lights, real roots and greens (that were actually taken from a forest) and, of course, crystals and chandeliers.”
