At first glance, Mili and Santosh seemed like an unlikely pair but when they met they hit it off instantly. Before they knew it, they were walking their way down the aisle.

How They Met
“I am a lawyer and work for a renowned bank in London. Santosh is an ex-model, an actor and an interior designer. He’s starred in two films – Anubhav Sinha’s ‘Warning’ and Jackky Bhagnani’s ‘Dil Juunglee’. We met through common friends when I was on a trip to Delhi and the rest, is history.”

Wedding Venue
“We wanted a destination wedding and The Roseate, New Delhi, seemed perfect. The property is an urban oasis with acres of verdant green and unperturbed water bodies in the midst of a bustling city. We looked at several other hotels but this one offered the kind of ambience and luxury we were looking for.”

Wedding Planning
“Our wedding planners were Aroosi, my dream team who I will always hold very close to my heart. They exceeded our expectations! Each of our four functions was hosted at a different venue in the hotel. While every event had beautiful, distinctive décor, the setup on the day of the ceremony gave me goosebumps! The mandap in the middle of the waterbody, candles all along it, the marigolds – everything took my breath away.

Ashima and Rasmeen gave us our perfect celebration and I will never be able to thank them enough. Santosh was a bit apprehensive due to their young age, but I trusted my gut. I knew they were the ones and we were not disappointed. They are a very hardworking and professional team with great attention to detail and are an absolute delight to work with.”

Wedding Functions

Mehendi
“Our mehendi decor was a fusion of bright colors like hot pink, yellow and turquoise. We were very keen on creating a setting that was young, lively and included elements others than florals. Origami birds hung from tree branches, colorful mason jars filled with blooms were used as centerpieces, while vibrant seating and cushions created a fantastic palette.

My mehendi outfit was designed by Amitabh Malhotra and was by far my favorite. Santosh’s bandi, kurta and fitted pants were bought from Philocaly.”

Cocktail Party
“The cocktail night was a glittering, classy affair! We used darker tones and balanced the palette with lots of fairy lights wrapped around the trunks of the trees that dotted the venue. Candles placed at the entrance as well as on the tables turned everything into a romantic, mesmerizing vision.

I wore a saree-style gown by Gaurav Gupta while Santosh’s wardrobe for the night was a mix of Hugo Boss, Armani, Gucci and Prada.”

Wedding
“We went with a very traditional look for the wedding. Marigolds were omnipresent. Our mandap stood in the middle of a waterbody and the tree behind it was decorated with strings of marigolds and yellow bulbs, which made for the prettiest backdrop. The venue was lit with candles. I was overwhelmed by the beauty of it all.

I wore a bright pink lehenga by Sangeet and Swati, and Santosh looked handsome in a sherwani by Tarun Tahiliani.”
