Nadia and Saher, Olive Woods, Ahmedabad
Nadia and Saher’s wedding in le style Indien was all about dreamy aesthetics.
Saher is from Ahmedabad and Nadia is from Paris. Their paths crossed when they enrolled in the same university and their story graduated into a fairytale romance. The duo tied the knot in Ahmedabad and their photographs will have you swooning.
How We Met
Nadia and Saher met at the town hall ceremony, during their first week at Sciences Po in Le Havre, France. Kicking off the academic year, the two spoke for the first time and pretty soon, they were planning a month long trip to South India. It was one that created some of their most treasured memories; travelling by train, sleeper bus, Ambassador cars, eating at roadside stalls, food wrapped in newspaper.
After being in a long distance relationship for three and a half years they decided it was time to get married and the wedding was scheduled for April 13th!
Wedding Function
Civil Ceremony
They first got married in an intimate civil ceremony at the Kensington and Chelsea Townhall in London. While they would have loved to keep the events tiny and private, they could not escape the Indian wedding!
Pheras
The duo’s Indian wedding celebrations were held at Olive Woods, Ahmedabad. Their outdoor pheras took place at twilight and the lush green heavily wooded venue looked so dreamy. While fresh rajnigandhas and roses were used to create bunting across the venue, large tassels created using the same flowers were used as the backdrop for the mandap. As the bistro lights and Moroccan lamps bathed the setup in a golden glow, its elegance was enhanced further.
The bride opted for an outfit by Raw Mango. The red skirt had intricate golden patterns woven into its fabric. She paired it with a dupatta of the same color and a well-tailored green blouse. The groom, on the other hand, wore a crisp white dhoti and achkan.
