Namrata and Sandeep, Hyderabad
From Moulin Rouge to a tranquil temple ambience, this wedding saw a plethora of riveting themes.
Namrata Logishetty & Sandeep Nagaranthal commemorated the start of their new life with a spectacular wedding celebration that saw ingenious themes and creative décor conceptualized and executed by WeddingSutra Favorite – Weddings N More. Every moment of their festivities were immortalized by WeddingSutra Favorite – Raj RJ.
How they met
Namrata and Sandeep found their bliss in a heartwarming, traditional arranged setup, where their parents played cupid to bring them together.
The couple chose the myriad sets and spectacular expanse of Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad to create stunning backdrops for their Telugu wedding functions. Being closed to tourists, the uninterrupted space allowed the couple to host safe celebrations for their guests. The talented team of Weddings N More was roped in to create beautiful décor setups for the functions. Led by Priyanka Arora, the team orchestrated unique themes and magnificent designs for each of their four functions. The festivities were captured in breathtaking shots by Raj RJ.
Recreating the magic of the movie Moulin Rouge, a glamorous Sangeet kicked off the festivities. Right from the logo of the couple welcoming the guests at the entrance like the name before the movie, to the colossal stage setup with vintage movie lights, crystal candle stands and more, all of it drenched in a cabaret-themed red light, the evening was magical. A windmill bar and a ‘Death do us party’ photo booth added to the splendor. The evening saw riveting music and dance performances. The groom donned a sleek black sherwani, while the bride opted for an edgy silver lehenga.
The ashirwaad Haldi, namely the Pelikudku & Pellikutru function for the bride and groom were held next morning with décor inspired by Nathdwara, the cows, paintings, flowers, lotus and Srinathji. The sunny function saw an abundance of fun as the bride and groom were doused in flowers and water in the Mangalsnanam next to the pool. The groom opted for a teal silk kurta while the bride looked radiant in a yellow saree with floral jewelry.
Stepping away from bright colors that one usually sees at a Mehendi function, the couple hosted an unusual sundowner Mehendi with a winter wonderland theme. 100 foot tunnels made up of fairy lights led into the event, while a sparkling canopy of lights, ball-shaped lanterns and silver props cast a magical atmosphere over the evening. Shimmering poles, light tents and baby’s breath further added to the whimsical theme. However, the focal point was the 40 foot island bar made up of books, as a nod to the couple’s penchant for reading. For a night of non-stop dancing, the couple dazzled in coordinated yellow outfits.
The final day began with an early morning ceremony, for which a traditional temple structure was created to make for an auspicious ambience. The décor included floor and wall murals, an idol, diyas and bells, all of which was created from scratch to lend an authentic temple feel. The groom dressed in all white, while the bride wore a soft pastel pink and green kanjeevaram saree for the nuptials.
The ceremony was followed by a white wedding which saw a dainty décor of blooms, a pretty white altar and an aisle of flower petals. The function abounded with heartfelt speeches and lovely emotional moments.
Advice for couples
“Our only advice is to make the most of what you’ve got. These are challenging times and everyone’s safety is the first priority, and you wouldn’t want anything bad to happen during such happy times. Finally, regardless of the situation, these are the best few days of your life remember to soak in every moment and enjoy it to the fullest!”
