Natasha and Florin, Hotel Sea Princess
A white wedding with a few Romanian traditions and a bunch of international guests all in India made their nuptials a unique affair.
A meeting at a convention, messages over social media and a trip to Israel are all it took for Natasha and Florin to fall in love.
The bride tells us all about the wedding in Mumbai and shares photos clicked by WeddingSutra Favorite KnotsbyAMP.
How We Met
We often attended conventions in Poland and Romania, but separately. We’d made connections which developed into friendships and Florin and I were introduced when these circles overlapped. Like with other friends, when I returned to India I’d stay in touch with people I’d met and with Florin it was the same. As we communicated over social media, things began to get serious and we decided to meet in Israel and holiday together.
We were really sure that we wanted to spend our lives together after that trip. After this, things progressed rapidly, we got engaged in Mumbai on the 10th of November 2016 and then two years later, in 2018, we tied the knot!
Wedding venue
We both wanted a seaside venue and Hotel Sea Princess was just the right one. We had the wedding ceremony at the outdoor venue and the reception on the same afternoon in the Crystal Room of the hotel.
Wedding Planning
When it came to planning the wedding my family, Florin and I were in charge. From the little details, like the selection of flowers, color scheme at the wedding, wedding cake, to the finalizing of the venue, finding the compère, creating a flow of the event – it was managed by us. Although I must mention, that my close friends helped me immensely in putting all of this together. National Decorators, the in-house decorators at the hotel, took care of the wedding decor.
Clara Fernandes was the make-up artist for all my bridesmaids and me, She owns Studio 23 and offers a range of beauty treatments but specializes in wedding makeup. She has worked with many celebrities in Mumbai as well.
John Elvis was the compère at the wedding. We had seen his work and knew that he was key in creating a fun reception. He scripted the event and was incredible at his job.
Mr. Jude, who works as a freelance sound professional and compère looked after the music at the wedding. He was really prompt and is experienced.

Last but certainly not the least, the photography was taken care of by KnotsbyAMP and they deserve a special thanks! They were able to capture all the fun and celebrations at the wedding. Because of them, we can relive all the wedding excitement. Their photographs are so good that we truly have so much fun each time we go through the pictures!
Wedding Function

To be honest the wedding was extremely exciting to plan. We were expecting guests from a lot of different countries and everyone had to be well taken care of. The color scheme for the wedding was ombre, purple and pink.
Florin was very keen on wearing a traditional Indian outfit while I didn’t want anything but a white gown. That turned out to be a really interesting aspect of the wedding. With him and his groomsmen in Indian wear and my bridesmaids and me in gowns, it really showed how accepting we are of each other’s cultures.
Florin looked royal like a prince in purple and I loved my princess ballgown. My dress was designed by Larry’s Brides, a store that specializes in adapting international patterns. All the details of Florin’s outfit – from color to the jewellery selection – were decided by us and executed by Naqsh.
Reception
At the reception we had special performances, a Romanian traditional dance, raising of the toast by our besties and also we had all the international guests dance to some Bollywood numbers. After a formal wedding, this relaxed event was just what everyone needed to loosen up and just have a blast.
Advice for Couple
Planning a wedding can be quite stressful especially for the couple getting married, but one must always try to keep in mind that at the end of the day a wedding is the celebration of two people coming together. So try your best not to let the all the stressful planning of the wedding get to you. Enjoy the process and above all make the decisions together as a couple.
Don’t get little things create big fights between the two of you. Planning the wedding with Florin brought us closer as we were always there to encourage one another. If something didn’t work out as planned we stood by each other throughout the pre-wedding phase, making it truly memorable for us both!
