Natasha and Nishit, JW Marriott Mussoorie Walnut Grove Resort & Spa
The views of one of the highest mountain ranges in the world was a highlight of this hill station wedding.
Natasha and Nishit’s wedding in the lap of the Himalayas was a dreamy affair, and to capture the joyous spirit of the celebrations, the couple got on board WeddingSutra Favorite – Navin Varma Photography.
How They Met
Natasha and Nishit were introduced to each other by their families. As it turned out, all it took for their love to commence was a three-hour chat over cups of coffee.
Wedding Planning
Photographing the couple’s wedding was the talented team of Navin Varma Photography who captured all the highlights of the festivities as well as all those candid and emotional moments.
Wedding Functions
Sangeet
Nishit and Natasha’s sangeet was steeped in contemporary glamor and followed a black and golden color scheme. Behind the stage was a marquee light backdrop that matched perfectly with the canopies whose roofs were covered in Edison bulbs. The couple’s hashtag was placed at the entrance and life-size wreaths of flowers made for the photo booth setup. Members from both families put up heartfelt dance performances for the couple and the evening’s entertainment also included live music by Bryden & Parth.
Garba
Besides the sangeet, the duo hosted a function dedicated to Gujarat’s most popular folk dance, the garba. The event saw decor in bright hues such as blue, orange and fuchsia on drapes and buntings that stretched out from the canopy in the center of the venue. The decor also included large hangings with colorful shapes and patterns.
Mandap Mahurat
Before the big day, a religious ceremony was performed where the couple sought blessings from Lord Ganesha and the elders in the family as they embarked upon their new journey in life. The setup, once again, made use of bright colors, and marigold blooms in yellow and orange hues were incorporated into the decor.
Wedding
The wedding decorations were kept to a minimum, in order to focus on the beauty of the mountains that formed the perfect backdrop for the ceremony. The color palette comprised of white and blush pink with a touch of green thanks to the lush foliage. The mandap was set up at a spot that overlooked the valley, and it was beautifully decorated with drapes, flowers and glass lanterns. The bride and the groom decided to coordinate the color that they wore and opted for light pink outfits, thus ensuring that their looks aligned with the aesthetics of the function.
