Natasha Menghani and Suraj Davdra, Hotel Fairmont Jaipur
Celebrated with modern elegance while keeping tradition at heart, this couple took the plunge with a breathtaking fusion destination wedding in Jaipur.
UK-based Natasha Menghani and Suraj Davdra’s destination wedding in Jaipur was infused with cultures that have influenced them as individuals. Capturing their union was WeddingSutra Favorite – Seven Mantra Films who with their keen observation and sharp timing photographed the couple’s most precious moments.
How They Met
Natasha shares, “I moved to the UK for my university studies and had always cherished a dream of settling there. Luckily, as fate would have it, through Hindu Society, I met Suraj. My friends had always joked about me finding a London-based Indian boy when I moved abroad to study, and that is exactly what happened!
Natasha shares, “I feel so lucky that my dream to get married in a palace came to life! And, for Suraj, the wedding in Jaipur was his opportunity to reconnect with his roots as his grandparents had migrated to Kenya a long time ago. Our celebrations were a mix of modern and traditional elements with hints of English and Latin culture since I have spent most of my life in Argentina. We also had guests come out of their way to attend from every corner of the world- Argentina, USA, England, Spain, Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Australia, and even all over India. It was a humbling experience, one that has filled us with joy and love.”
Capturing the adorable moments of their union was Seven Mantra Films who with their unbridled skill captured the multicultural details of the wedding while ensuring that the couple looked their stylish best. Right from dynamic candid shots to stylized portraits, each picture was a reflection of the couple’s personalities and the love they share.
Sunkissed and colorful, the mehndi was a laid-back celebration where the couple made a playful entry dancing to their favourite hues. Later everyone took the dancefloor printed with exotic leaves where they shook a leg with the flamboyantly dressed professional dancers.
Sleek and elegant, the sangeet flaunted a modern decor story with LED lights, a monochrome dancefloor and a vast stage. While family performances left the couple pleasantly surprised, the guests were in for a treat as the couple took the stage to show their best moves.
In line with tradition, the haldi was swathed in yellow hues which were interspersed with a pop of pink. Basking in the sun, the couple had a gala time as they sat on urlis against a floral backdrop and enjoyed floral showers. Plus, their loved ones were also at their playful best as they enthusiastically slathered them with haldi.
Steeped in tradition, the evening wedding looked regal against the majestic backdrop of the venue. Dressed in a gold embroidered red lehenga Natasha looked stunning while Suraj donned a white sherwani. A picture-perfect varmala moment, elegant decor and emotional moments made the union an unforgettable one.
