Navdeep and Ekas, Gurgaon
A Sikh wedding steeped in the elegant blend of opulent décor and tranquil traditions.
They say there is nothing like falling in love with your best friend. Navdeep and Ekas, childhood friends, discovered their soulmate in each other and celebrated the start of their next chapter with a splendorous wedding at ITC Grand Bharat in Gurugram. Their special moments were captured in beautiful shots by Weddingsutra Favorite – Cinelove Productions, glimpses of which are shared below.
How they met
Childhood family friends Navdeep and Ekas grew up playing together at family gatherings, but lost touch once they got busy with their adult lives. It was after several years that they crossed paths again, rekindling their friendship. Their connection soon blossomed into love, and with overjoyed families thrilled to be joining together, they embarked upon their new adventure.
Hosted in the plush estate of ITC Grand Bharat, Gurgaon , the 3 day festivities saw stunning décor and gorgeous rituals steeped in opulence. Every moment of the revelries were frozen in flawless frames by the team of Cinelove Productions.
Replete with spectacular décor and dazzling performances, a lively Engagement function kicked off the wedding celebrations. A lush foliage arch festooned with blooms in hues of pink and purple welcomed one into the festivities, with the same tropical arrangements ruling the entire décor. The bride and groom complemented the color palette in stunning ensembles of lavender. The evening saw beautiful dances, incredible entertainments acts and more, including a surprise performance by the bride and her squad, as well as a memorable proposal by the groom onstage.
Hosted at the beguiling Yamuna Ghats of ITC Grand Bharat, the Haldi celebration saw sunny yellow décor and merry festivities. Donning shades of yellow, the couple looked radiant and happy as their family showered them with turmeric paste and flower petals.
The evening followed with a rocking dhol night held outdoors on the lawn space. The lush environs were decked up with rich red and black décor, bathed in the warm glow of shimmering lights. The groom was the cynosure of all eyes in a bold red embroidered kurta teamed with a bright blue turban; while the bride exuded Nawabi elegance in an off-shoulder embroidered cream lehenga and a Mughal passa.
The auspicious Sikh wedding ceremony of Anand Karaj was held during the day with a regal, yet serene décor in hues of red and gold. The groom channeled his heritage in a cream and red ensemble, replete with a red turban, jewels and a sword, while the bride was the portrait of royalty in an exquisite gold lehenga. The nuptials were followed by a reception that included a cake cutting as well as a memorable performance by Maninder Buttar.
