How We Met
Navjot is an engineer from MIT Pune who works in his family business, and Jasmine is a Chartered Accountant from Bhopal. It was an arranged marriage setup where the two met each other along with their families. This meeting was followed by a lunch date the following day, and when they discovered that they clicked with each other, it was an instant “Yes!” from both of them.

Wedding Functions

Cocktail
The highlight of the cocktail was the black and gold color. The stage had a unique backdrop similar to that of a magazine cover and the bright lighting arrangements added to the mood of the evening. All the performances for the night were entertaining, and the guests couldn’t stop dancing until late into the night!

Haldi and Mehndi
For the mehndi and haldi, the couple had a very informal setting that brought in the diverse cultural elements while ensuring that people could talk, mix, dance and drink so the fun aspects of both families came to fore. They had a vibrant decor concept in their head that was delivered to perfection. They used elements such as colorful fresh floral arrangements and drapes combined with quirky decor elements as part of the setup.

Wedding
The pheras were held the following day and were evocative of all things elegant and shiny. The couple had a traditional Punjabi phera ceremony for which the bride wore a beautiful pink Astha Narang creation. The decor for this event was kept simple, with beautiful blush tones and a pop of red. For the reception, the bride changed into a dazzling crimson and gold lehenga by Megha and Jigar. Her artist too made sure that my look was kept subtle and chic, with an emphasis on her eye makeup. Navjot looked like an erstwhile maharaja in his black and gold sherwani that beautifully contrasted with his bride’s bright lehenga.
