Nikita and Udit, Amaara Farms, New Delhi
The quaint vistas of Amaara Farms were the perfect venue for the fairytale wedding of this architect couple.
Nikita and Udit’s wedding was a perfectly planned affair, shot by WeddingSutra Favorite – Shutterdown and hosted at one of Delhi’s most beautiful wedding venues – Amaara Farms. From a gorgeous decor to fun-filled performances, this wedding had it all, and how! Here’s the bride Nikita sharing her story with us.
How They Met
“Udit and my love story began in college, where we both were studying architecture. He was my senior and we were introduced to each other through our mutual friend Manan. We started texting each other all-day, on BBM, and met over lunches and dinners. During my study-stint in Milan, we had a long-distance relationship which further strengthened our bond and made us acknowledge that we were in it forever.”
“My sister had once casually mentioned Amaara Farms and we ended up checking it out. I was so spellbound with its picturesque facades that I was already planning the layout in my head. The landscape, foliage, and the Buddha statue – everything was perfect. Amaara Farms looked exactly like the venue I had in my mind for my wedding. We ended up finalizing it during our first visit itself!”
Engagement & Cocktail
Nikita and Udit’s wedding celebrations kick-started with an engagement and cocktail party. Hosted indoors, the event had a very picturesque decor boasting of floral bouquets, chandeliers and candles that looked radiant in purple and blue lighting.
For the mehndi ceremony, Nikita chose to flaunt sunny hues. The function had a very traditional decor complete with vibrant marigold flowers, bright canopies and a swing crafted especially for the bride.
Nikita’s Haldi was an intimate affair attended by only her loved ones. The bride was all smiles as she was smeared in turmeric paste by her family who showered her with their love and blessings.
The bride, being a designer herself, ensured that the decor for her wedding was well-crafted with her inputs. The choice of colors for the decor was pastels with dusty rose used dominantly. Candles, fairy light strings, drapes, chandeliers and floral tassels adorned the wedding venue making the ceremony look like a page out of a fairytale.
Advise for Couples
The bride says, “Be yourself on your wedding day and plan everything exactly the way you want it to be! Do not forget to make the most of the day and enjoy it to your fullest. Also, while choosing your wedding vendors, ensure that you are picking the people you are comfortable working with. It will help explain your requirements better.”
