Nishchaie and Shriya at Country Inn, Sahibabad and The Taj Palace, New Delhi

Shriya & Nishchaie met in San Francisco. Their wedding in Delhi NCR was a big and grand affair.

Nishchaie Khanna is the son of Meenakshi and Rituraj Khanna who, as head of Business Development at Q-Events, has unparalleled experience in the wedding industry. In his decade long tenure with the company, Mr Khanna has worked across the field and is now the go-to expert on destination events. Nishchaie and Shriya’s wedding was an intimate affair, while the post-wedding celebrations were a grand affair. Nishchaie’s father being one of the most popular persons in the wedding industry, the who’s who from the fraternity all over India were there.

Shriya & Nishchaie met in San Francisco where they live now. The couple was introduced to each other at a social gathering in 2009. There was no looking back. This is how they celebrated.

The two main events were the wedding ceremony and the reception. Q Events, with Geeta Samuel at the helm, raised the bar with the stunning décor envisaged and executed for both celebrations.

The wedding took place at the Country Inn, Sahibabad. The couple was very keen on a traditional theme that exuded the essence of a temple experience. The vedi area, inspired by Tirupati Balaji was the highlight of the wedding venue, a 6ft tall Tirupati Balaji statue embellished with stunning stone work, the cynosure of all eyes.

The elaborate vegetarian meal for the guests was prepared in-house, by the hotel’s chefs.

The reception at The Taj Palace, New Delhi, was Sufi inspired, as requested by the couple. Glittering in white and silver, Q Events’ Geeta Samuel and team festooned the venue with customized chandeliers, sufi lamps and other suspended decorations. From the floral arrangements to the centerpieces, drapes and canopies to candle settings, every accent and touch was scaled up to an opulent level of grandeur.

The wedding reception turned into a night of crazy dancing that went on into the wee hours of the morning. The hospitality included a multi-cuisine menu from the hotel’s kitchens.

Quote from the couple: The photographers from ‘One Fine Day’ were absolutely wonderful. We love how they captured all our moments together and with family. Sandeep Ram, Rushi Tambe and team were a joy to work with.
