Parineeta and Sushil, DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Goa – Panaji
A destination wedding with glimpses of Rajasthani flamboyance, vintage accents and regal sophistication, Parineeta and Sushil’s celebrations enjoyed different styles and aesthetics.
Parineeta surprised herself when she fell in love with someone she met online. Perfectly planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – Vogue Luxury Weddings, her wedding to Sushil was a glamorous celebration hosted at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Goa – Panaji.
How They Met
“If you’d asked me just two years ago whether it was possible to find your soulmate online, I’d have dismissed the question,” bride Parineeta says. “But destiny wanted to prove me wrong!”
Family pressure meant both Sushil and Parineeta created profiles on Shaadi.com. Parineeta says, “My best friend was going through my account for fun and came across Sushil’s profile. She swiped right without telling me! The next day, he showed interest and wanted to initiate a meeting. I was very apprehensive but decided to give it a shot.”
Their first meeting at a restaurant for dinner and drinks turned into their first date – 7 hours and counting. “We didn’t even look at our phones to check the time,” the bride says, “We were just completely engrossed in conversation and this was just the beginning.” They began dating and three months later when Sushil proposed, Parineeta had to say yes.
The groom’s parents are from Mumbai while the bride’s are from Dubai. Parineeta says, “We wanted an intimate destination wedding and we chose Goa.” It was love at first sight when they stepped into the lobby of the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Goa – Panaji, she says, “We just knew this was where we would get married. Sushil and I had the biggest smiles on our faces. The resort is different because it overlooks the backwaters of Goa and the views are splendid!”
Vogue Luxury Weddings had planned Parineeta’s brother’s wedding five years earlier. The bride couldn’t imagine working with any other planner.
Excellent at planning and executing larger-than-life destination weddings, Vogue Luxury Weddings ensured a perfect, fairy-tale wedding for the couple.
The theme for this event was an Electric Rajasthan Carnival! The incredible vibe was created via traditional puppets suspended around bright pink and yellow canopies. Other embellishments included parandas, gota bunting, vibrant teapots, tyres and ethnic phulkari drapes. Whimsical motifs and florals also played an important part in amping up the energy of the event.
The sangeet was all about enchanting glamour. The ballroom of the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Goa – Panaji was beautifully decorated with pastel flowers, fairy lights and a bright purple stage as the piece de resistance. To rival it, a massive bar lit up in white LEDs added a glitzy touch to the night.
Understated, regal aesthetics gave the wedding a glorious elegance. In muted pink, purple and green, the mandap was covered in soft drapes, decorated with dainty floral embellishments.
Parineeta and Sushil concluded their wedding festivities with an opulent reception. The glamorous evening sparkled with chandeliers, suspended glass baubles and floral globes. A gigantic LED spelled out ‘LOVE’ and that was a fantastic takeaway from the celebrations.
Advice for Couples
The bride suggests that couples delegate as many responsibilities to family members as possible as it is tough for just the bride and groom to oversee every detail. Not only is it fulfilling for family members to be involved in the responsibility of the wedding, this way, the couple can enjoy their big day too.
