Payal and Adhir, Jaipur
Replete with blooms and delicate hues, this couple’s wedding was a sight to behold.
From colleagues to a couple in love, Payal and Adhir’s romance wound its way through office office projects and beyond. Planned seamlessly by WeddingSutra Favorite – Desert Pearl Entertainment, their wedding was a feast for the senses with colors, dancing, elegant decor, and more. Here, bride Payal shares some highlights of the festivities.
How They Met
“Adhir and I first met at work and even collaborated on a few assignments together. At that time, we had no idea that things would take such a pleasant turn someday! And surprisingly, we kept in touch even though I switched jobs. I think once we started meeting up as friends and not colleagues, something between us changed which allowed love to blossom.”
Gushing about her surprise proposal, the happy bride shares, “Adhir organized a proposal for me at a beautiful restaurant which he’d decorated with stunning blooms. And, nestled amidst the plethora of blooms was the ring! I had absolutely no clue about his plan and was taken completely off-guard.”
The couple hired Desert Pearl Entertainment to plan the celebrations. Payal shares, “Team Desert Pearl Entertainment was extremely adept and clear in their communication. And even though we’d met then only once in person before the wedding, it was quite clear to us that we’d made the right decision as they handled everything right from trivial requests to travel logistics smoothly. Their patience and constant support allowed us to plan everything right down to the last detail to reflect our tastes.” Adding to the team was the expert photographers Ashwin and Jhalak of Shades Photography along with videographer The Creative Lens.
Hosted on the rooftop of the hotel, the bride’s mehndi was a boisterous affair. The bride shares, “I chose a proposal-themed mehndi design that also consisted of a Blackberry messenger icon that Adhir and I used back in the day to communicate with each other. For the decor, we opted for pastel hues that reflected beautifully under the sunlit terrace. Additionally, we also had a live bangle counter, and our friends and family sang and danced to keep everyone in high spirits.”
Fusing subtle glamour with elegance, the duo chose a silver and purple palette for the sangeet. The decor comprised profusions of delicate blooms that adorned the stage and the entranceway. With energetic performances by family members and friends, the evening was packed with laughter and joy.
“We always wanted a really nice ‘amphitheater type’ setting for our wedding and the planning team, with sheer dedication made my dream come true. Our big day had a circular floral mandap equipped with flower vases and a distinct entryway for the bride and groom. Being particular about my needs, I’d given the planning team all the details beforehand and was absolutely stunned when I clapped eyes on the mandap. They even added their own creative flourishes which matched everything beautifully.”
“Giving glamour a healthy boost for the occasion, we chose a gold theme for the reception. Our friends had also planned a shoe game to keep everyone entertained. Adhir and I, along with all the guests, had immense fun sharing playful banter during the games.”
Advice For Couples
“Have fun and enjoy the process thoroughly. Don’t stress about the small stuff because in the end, your happiness as a couple matters. Also, stay hydrated throughout each function!’
