Payal and Siddharth’s three-day summer wedding at ITC Grand Goa Resort and Spa was all sunny vibes, dreamy waters and the celebration of true love. Having entrusted WeddingSutra Favorite – Frames N Films Studio, to capture their intimate nuptials, the couple enjoyed every moment. Here, they share the journey that led them to marriage.
How They Met
It all started with a match on Tinder. From then on, Payal and Siddharth’s love story was a rollercoaster ride. The couple dated for a year and a half before deciding to tie the knot. However, convincing their families did take some time. Nevertheless, the couple’s feelings triumphed, both sides eventually consented to the union, and they got to celebrate their ‘happily ever after’.
Planning
Being a graphic designer, the bride took charge of the invitations and stationery. Painstakingly designing every detail of the wedding, Payal made sure that everything was curated with a personal touch. The couple decided to have a close-knit yet opulent destination wedding, zeroing in on the spectacular ITC Grand Goa Resort and Spa as the venue. The ballrooms and lawns of this magnificent hotel provided the ambience and setting that the couple was looking for. The events were stunningly captured in magical pictures clicked by Frames N Films Studio.
Wedding Functions
Mehendi
Payal’s mehendi was an intimate function that was held at the bride’s residence in Mumbai. Her house was decorated in bright pink and yellow with floral arrangements adding a fresh touch. The bride had a gala time shaking a leg with her cousins and friends. Dressed in a flowy lush-green bandhani ensemble, she looked elegant, with dainty floral jewelry and henna-clad hands.
Carnival
The wedding festivities kicked off with a colorful carnival held in ‘The Magical Forest’ of ITC Grand Goa Resort and Spa. The day-party had vibrant decor comprising of festoons, florals, boho tents, flamingos and a cute photo-booth that displayed the couple’s initials. A casino set-up and talented bartenders ensured that the event was full of fun.
The couple stole the show with their spectacular entry on an ATV. Dressed in a flowing floral outfit by Nupur Kanoi, Payal looked like a dream next to her handsome groom, who was dressed in a radiant yellow and white ensemble by Shreya J Label.
Sangeet
A night of music, fun and frolic, Payal and Siddharth’s sangeet was a soirée to remember. The groom wore a navy-blue velvet blazer over monochrome formals. His bride-to-be shone in a radiant gold peplum lehenga. An elaborate stage was erected for performances, decked out in enchanting blooms and chandeliers.
Haldi
On the lush gardens of ‘Colva’ at the ITC Grand Goa Resort and Spa, Payal’s haldi was a sunshiny and joyful occasion, with bright yellow decor in sync with the bride’s outfit. The poolside ceremony saw Payal’s loved ones dousing her in turmeric paste.
Wedding
The pastel-themed wedding was a stunning evening affair with an elegant stage made up of exotic pink and white blooms, chandeliers and beautiful drapes. The lawns had pink boho cabanas set up for the guests. Payal looked surreal in a pastel-pink lehenga, entering under a unique chadar made of green foliage and fairy lights, rather than the usual flowers. Siddharth looked dapper in an elegant white sherwani with a golden kamarband and saafa. Frames N Films Studio captured each significant moment of the event, from the couple’s beaming faces to the guests’ emotional responses to the meaningful ceremony.
Advice To Couples
Payal says, “Every couple wants a wedding that’s different and unique – we wanted a fun wedding that wasn’t too heavy on rituals. However, what’s most important in a wedding is to enjoy it to the fullest. Things are meant to go haywire, but it’s very important to enjoy what you have at hand and not bother about things that are amiss. Your wedding, after all, is all about being there for each other and making memories.”
