Prachi and Fenil, Ahmedabad

A classic case of arranged marriage transforming into love, Prachi and Fenil felt the chemistry brewing between them from the first meeting itself. However, the couple soon had to combat distance as Fenil flew back to the United States soon after they got engaged. But through sheer determination and plenty of encouragement from their families, the duo kept the embers of their love burning brightly. And, when the time came to take a plunge into marital bliss, the couple and their family made sure no stone was left unturned with a breathtaking ceremony that showcased their rich Gujarati culture. How They Met
Prachi shares, “Fenil had been living in the United States for a decade and I had just moved back from there. Once I was settled in, my parents started searching for a suitable match for me and that’s how I met Fenil, through a local matrimonial service. Coincidentally, it turned out that our families knew each other, and after a couple of meetings, Fenil and I were sure that there was something special between us. After a whirlwind of meetings, we decided to get engaged after which Fenil, unfortunately, had to leave for the United States. But thankfully, both his and my family were very encouraging, and I ended up visiting him there during the summer. Soon enough, we registered to get married in San Diego and both of us came back to India for our traditional wedding.”

Wedding Venue
Hosted at the sprawling Green Earth in Ahmedabad, the duo had plenty of opportunities to let their creative juices run free. With its lush, spacious green lawns and impeccable hospitality, the venue handled their long guest list with absolute ease.

Wedding Planning
Acknowledging the mammoth task of planning a grand wedding, the duo ensured that they hired the most popular names in the industry on board. This consisted of Sandeep Gadhvi Photography and Films, who with their superior skills, attention to fine detail, and accurate timing captured each emotion. Prachi shares, “From the moment I saw their work on Instagram, I was floored. Sandeep Gadhvi Photography and Films team captured each emotion perfectly with shots that speak a thousand words. The pictures are incredibly beautiful and lend a royal feel to the nuptials. Their team was extremely comfortable to work with and we would gladly recommend them to others as well.”

Wedding
With a home-based mehndi, dholi, haldi and pooja, the wedding was off to an auspicious start. Hosted on the lush lawns of the famous Green Earth, Ahmedabad, the duo’s big day was generously dipped in rich culture and tradition. However, there were modern elements like reflective tables and vases along with crystal chandeliers that added a contemporary flair to the decor. Replete with floral arches adorned with pink and peach hues that contrasted delightfully with the dark starry sky, the couple’s nuptials had everyone awestruck. Keeping the spirits high were traditional singers who mesmerized the guests with their mellifluous tunes.

Glowing in a ruby red, intricately embroidered lehenga, the bride was the showstopper of the evening as she posed with Fenil who wore an off white sherwani paired with a red safa.
