Prachi Patwari and Parag Soni, Saya Grand Club & Spa Resort, Mumbai
Going full glam at every event, this couple’s wedding celebrations consisted of a carnival mehndi, Bollywood sundowner and a spectacular all-white wedding ceremony!
Filled with exuberant moments, spontaneous dance performances and playful banter, Prachi Patwari, an interior designer and Parag Soni’s wedding was a vibrant celebration of love. Adding their creativity into the mix and making each event stand out was WeddingSutra Favorite – WingsCraft Entertainment who didn’t miss a beat as they planned this beautiful union. Photographing their union was WeddingSutra Favorite – Wedding Art who was with the couple at every step of the way capturing precious memories as they took the plunge!
Bride Prachi shares, “Planning a wedding is not a small feat, especially, if you’re hosting it at an off-beat location that’s a bit away from the city. Thankfully, we had zero stress about any element as team WingsCraft Entertainment looked into the smallest of details. Right from pampering our loved ones, conceptualizing each event to ensuring everything went smoothly – they were with us at every step of the way as we reveled!”
Eschewing a conventional mehndi celebration, the couple hosted a carnival mehndi where they had an auction with fake currency and gave their guests gift prices. Decorated in vibrant hues under the bright February sun, the decor put everyone in a jolly mood as the bride entered stylishly on an ITV bike!
As hardcore Bollywood admirers, the couple was keen on adding a Bollywood-themed celebration to their wedding. The sundowner took plenty of inspiration from the Hindi film industry with a Bollywood Tambola which consisted of family-dubbed videos and posters.
Serene and elegant, the couple took their vows in a Western-style white wedding. Decked up with a pastel-hued floral arch, tropical leaves and the couple’s monogram, the white wedding was an ode to romance. The bride walked gracefully down the aisle while Parag watched on adorably.
Hosted under the starlit sky, the myra was a solemn event where the couple’s families gathered together. A Marwadi ritual, the myra consists of the maternal uncle bestowing gifts on the bride’s mother and the groom.
The sangeet witnessed the glamor stakes go high as the couple made a stunning entry with initial mapping, LED drummers, SFX and dance performances. Decorated with LED lights, signages and foliage – this event transported guests to a different world where they could dance freely regardless of their age! A colossal stage ensured all performances could be clearly seen while the couple cheered on their loved ones from a special monochrome seating section created for them.
This was also followed by an after-party where a live band performed energetically while everyone shook a leg.
The wedding day festivities kicked off with a high-octane baraat as the groom along with family and best pals arrived with a DJ truck in tow. However, Prachi too wasn’t far behind as she entered atop a vintage car with dhol beats announcing her entry. After this, an aerial varmala exchange punctuated by colour bombs resulted in some astounding pictures while the floating mandap inspired awe. And, as the couple took their pheras, their guests showered them with petals and tinkled miniature bells that were provided to them.
After their wedding, the couple proceeded with a glitzy wedding reception where they made jaws drop as they entered on a mechanical elephant. A choir group of 20 singers entertained the audience and the newlyweds greeted their guests on a plush purple-hued stage decorated with LED candles and pastel blooms.
