Preksha Bokaria and Mannan Patel, Taj Aravali Resort & Spa, Udaipur
Pairing modern minimalism with customised designs, this wedding featured a market-inspired lunch, an Eden-themed Haldi, and a golden-hued wedding mandap!
Preksha Bokaria and Mannan Patel’s wedding was a celebration where thoughtful details met heartfelt moments, planned and curated by WeddingSutra Favorite – Events & Wedding Experiences. Set against the regal expanse of Taj Aravali Resort & Spa, Udaipur, the festivities were a beautiful blend of elegance, intimacy, and modern grace. The couple’s vision of a minimalist-yet-grand affair came to life through meticulous planning, aesthetic storytelling, and immersive experiences that reflected who they are — refined, rooted, and full of warmth.
Wedding Venue
Tucked into the Aravali hills, Taj Aravali Resort & Spa, Udaipur, offered the perfect canvas for this destination celebration. With its seamless blend of heritage charm and contemporary luxury, the venue served not just as a backdrop but as a character in the wedding story. Each function was thoughtfully hosted in a unique pocket of the property, allowing guests to experience a fresh ambience at every turn. Whether it was the serenity of the haldi lawns or the drama of the waterfall at the varmala, the venue elevated every moment into a memory.
Wedding Planning
Crafting a wedding that felt both understated and opulent was no easy task, but Events & Wedding Experiences rose to the challenge with intuitive precision. As Nikhil Jetha from the team shares, “From the very beginning, the brief was crisp, timeless, classy, and high on experience. Preksha and Mannan were clear about what mattered to them, and that clarity made the entire journey a joy.”
The planning process was driven by the couple’s unwavering trust, allowing the team to focus on elevating the guest experience. “For us, hospitality wasn’t just a detail — it was the heartbeat of this wedding. Every choice, from design to logistics, was rooted in making the guests feel seen, welcomed, and celebrated,” Nikhil adds.
Wedding Functions
Farmers Market
The festivities opened with a warm and vibrant Welcome Lunch that paid homage to the couple’s shared love for food. Styled like a chic morning market, the event featured custom placemats and napkins, decor with fresh produce, and storytelling through textures and taste. Guests were invited to explore interactive elements — from writing postcard-style food recommendations to matching badges with their ‘food buddy’ and a whimsical candle-making bar. A wall of quirky fortune cookies set the tone for what would be a fun-filled wedding journey.
Sangeet
Titled Whispers of Romance, the sangeet embraced a rich palette of red and black for a night that was all about quiet drama and timeless style. A sleek stage design paired with LED strip lighting created a mood of quiet opulence, while a moving photo booth added a touch of fun. A live band set the tone for an unforgettable evening, building up to a crescendo that left everyone spellbound.

Haldi
Inspired by the Garden of Eden, the haldi was a pastel-hued morning of joy and abandon. The decor embraced soft curves, from plush seating to fluid backdrops, creating a space that felt both dreamy and contemporary. Carnival games added playful energy, while the Funtakshri, hosted by the emcee, had everyone singing and laughing. An impromptu dandiya session sealed the morning with color and celebration.

Wedding
The wedding unfolded as a poetic tribute to sacred bonds under the theme Bandhan. For the varmala, the cascading waterfall within Taj Aravali Resort & Spa was transformed into a stage of light, emotion, and magic. “We brought in a light designer to choreograph a sequence that didn’t just illuminate the space, but stirred something in every guest,” recalls Nikhil. As the couple prepared to enter, the emcee handed out scripts to the audience, turning spectators into participants.
The wedding décor leaned into white and gold minimalism with accents of traditional florals. The mandap stood as a vision of elegance, with soft shola flower hangings and refined chandeliers adding a graceful glow. A live painter capturing scenes in real time, a Polaroid guest book of memories, and musical pheras added an emotional richness to the rituals.
