Priya and Sumit tied the knot at a beautiful beach wedding in Goa. The couple, who sent out a hundred invites, hosted all their functions at the Kenilworth Beach Resort and Spa in Goa. Their wedding festivities were beautifully planned and designed by the WeddingSutra Favorite – Purple Truffle Event Planners.
Wedding Functions
Ganesh Puja and Haldi
The day started with the Ganesh puja early in the morning followed by a ‘pithi’ (haldi ceremony) in the ballroom and terrace of the Kenilworth Beach Resort and Spa in Goa. The guests relished a traditional vegetarian Gujarati lunch on the terrace overlooking the lush green gardens. For the decor, the couple went with a white and orange color theme with a rose-shaped Ganesha design as the perfect backdrop. Priya wore a blue bandhej saree and Sumit picked an orange kurta for the puja and later both changed into more casual outfits for the pithi.
Mehndi and Sangeet
The haldi ceremony then transitioned into the mehendi and sangeet ceremony in Aquatica, overlooking the hotel’s pool. The team from Purple Truffle Event Planners shared, “The mehndi and sangeet, as the name suggests, was all about the lighting, color and some rocking dance performances that set the tone for the evening. The bride, who is a professional classical dancer and has participated at shows in India and abroad, gave a splendid performance.” The couple complemented each other in matching beige outfits.
Wedding
The couple wanted a sunset wedding by the beach which would look stunningin the wedding photos. The decor for the wedding was magical and incorporated white and purple drapes and fresh blooms. There was a wall dedicated to all the couple’s childhood pictures for the guests to see.” The couple entered in style wearing matching outfits. Priya wore a bright red lehenga whereas Sumit picked a beige sherwani with red turban.
Reception
After their wedding rituals, the evening concluded with a wedding reception with great food, foot-tapping music by DJ Anish and loads of dancing all night long. The newlyweds took to the stage for their first dance. Priya looked stunning in a navy blue backless gown with golden embroidery, and Sumit opted for a matching jacket that he paired with beige pants and a bow-tie.
