Puneet and Aman, Vancouver
Embroidered with peacock motifs and accessorized with kundan jewelry, this bride’s glamorous gold wedding lehenga was a showstopper!
Puneet Mahal, a legal professional, and Aman’s July wedding in Vancouver, Canada, was truly a cheerful affair. This couple made the most of their wedding day as they spent lovable moments ambling around in their finery within the environs of a classically designed mansion and carefully groomed shrubs.
Keen on staying close to their roots, the couple carefully chose traditional outfits for their wedding despite being based overseas. To make sure everything went ahead exactly as envisioned, they roped in Decor by Polly, Amrit Photography, videographers Motion Films, mehndi artist Munira’s Mehndi along with hair and makeup artist Pink Orchid Studio.
Using a color palette of gold, ivory and white, the wedding was luxurious in its entirety. Adorned with golden vases brimming with white blooms, ivory drapes and ornate gold furnishings, the decor was lavish and decidedly desi. Complementing the decor perfectly was Puneet who was a showstopper in her gold lehenga beautifully embroidered with peacocks. With pops of blue and red scattered around the skirt, the bride’s gold lehenga truly looked regal and rightfully was the cynosure of all eyes. She accessorized her look with an ornate kundan passa, gajra, a kundan and ruby fringed maang tikka and a matching necklace. Completely in sync with his bride was Aman who chose a gold sherwani for the occasion. With the baby blue kurta peeking out from under his jacket, the groom looked dapper as he posed with Puneet on the lush grass. Adding oodles of charm to his look was a navy blue pichwai printed shawl that he sported like a true royal.
