This couple took inspiration from their Italian getaway to orchestrate a breezy yet vibrant mehndi and haldi celebration!
Rachita Arora and Sujeet Madhogaria’s union echoed the couple’s unique love story and their experiences. Planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – One Point Weddings, the wedding was a joyous celebration of love where the couple expressed themselves freely through a series of elegantly orchestrated events.
How They Met
Rachita and Sujeet met at London Business School in 2021, bonding over their love for dancing, playful banter, and late-night study sessions. Their friendship quickly turned into a romance, strengthened by shared adventures and laughter. Despite a long-distance relationship spanning continents, their love only grew stronger, leading to a heartfelt celebration of love!

Wedding Planning
Team One Point Weddings shares, “Rachita and Sujeet wanted their wedding to reflect their unique love story while blending elegance and cultural richness. Inspired by their first trip as a couple to the Amalfi Coast, the Mehendi and Haldi functions featured vibrant Italian-inspired hues and décor. For the Sangeet, Rachita and Sujeet envisioned an opulent yet whimsical setting that balanced elegance with a touch of playfulness. For the wedding, they envisioned a fusion of modern minimalism and royal opulence, featuring pastel tones, roses, and chandeliers, all symbolizing their families’ heritage and their shared journey.”

Wedding Functions
Mehendi and Haldi
“The wedding festivities began with a vibrant Mehendi and Haldi function that brought the Amalfi Coast to life. The venue featured azure blues, terracotta patterns, bright lemons, and pink bougainvillaeas, beautifully recreating the couple’s cherished Italian getaway. The highlight of the Mehendi was Rachita and Sujeet’s grand entry to their wedding anthem, #SurachKiBaahonMein, inspired by the Bollywood classic, which became the theme of their celebrations. Guests enjoyed Aperol Spritz and Italian-inspired cocktails by Cocktail Dzire, paired with authentic Italian food”, shares Team One Point Weddings.

Sangeet
The Sangeet was a glamorous celebration of Rachita and Sujeet’s love for dance and their shared sense of fun. The venue was transformed into a space of bold sophistication, with deep brown tones, rust-hued lounges, and sparkling gold accents. Crystals and white floral arrangements added a hint of elegance, while whimsical portraits of animals dressed as aristocrats gave the décor a playful yet artistic vibe.
Performances included a spirited dance-off between the bride, groom, and their closest friends. Heartfelt speeches from Rachita’s father and sister, as well as Sujeet’s sister, added warmth and emotion to the evening. The event culminated in an unforgettable after-party where guests danced into the early hours, making it a night to remember.

Bhaat and Chooda
The next day began with two traditional ceremonies. Sujeet’s family hosted a vibrant Bhaat ceremony featuring Rajasthani singers and dancers, while Rachita’s family held a Chooda and Gharoli ceremony with dhol singers, honoring her Punjabi heritage. These events were held at the picturesque Yamuna Ghat, with regal Indian décor that enhanced the charm of the ceremonies.

The Wedding
The wedding day was a seamless blend of modern elegance and royal grandeur. A pastel palette of pinks and whites with roses and chandeliers created a sophisticated yet romantic atmosphere. A highlight of the day was the couple’s ‘Wall of Memories’ – a special installation that showcased their individual journeys, supported by family and friends.
Team One Point Wedding adds, “Before the Varmala, Rachita surprised Sujeet with a heartfelt love letter, leaving him in tears as she made her grand entrance. The couple also redefined traditions, skipping the Kanyadaan and Vidaayi, emphasizing equality in their relationship. Rachita added a modern twist by applying sindoor on Sujeet’s forehead after he applied it to hers, symbolizing their shared commitment.”
