Nestled amidst greenery overlooking the Bay of Bengal, The Leela Palace Chennai became the backdrop for their dream wedding. Offering a stunning confluence of luxurious services, serene architecture, and exquisite views, it was the perfect choice for a lavish celebration.
Wedding Planning
Radhika and Nikhil had a very clear vision of what they wanted their wedding to look like. A couple with discerning tastes, they were particular about two things, a party on the first day and a luxurious formal Reception on the second. The couple entrusted the team of The Escapade to design and execute the wedding, who took the challenge in their stride and conceptualized stunning decor themes while maintaining the aesthetics they wanted.
The planning and management of the wedding was spearheaded by 3X Events, while their special moments were captured by Israni Photography.
Wedding Functions
Welcome Dinner
The couple kicked off the festivities with a chic dinner party to welcome their guests from all over the world. The elegant decor for the evening was brimming with local inspiration such as Rajnigandha flowers, banana leaves, banana bunches, coconuts, pieces of traditional furniture, and more. The bride donned a gold silk jumpsuit for the occasion while the groom sported an eclectic printed silk shirt.
Mehndi
The mehndi function unfolded with lively decor and moments of love and laughter. Bright hues of yellow and pink took over the space in the form of exotic floral setups, vibrant vases and pots, quirky prints, hangings of marigolds and orange slices, and much more. Mehndi corners and favor stalls kept guests engaged and in high spirits. For the occasion, the bride looked ethereal in an intricately embellished blush pink co-ord set.
Sangeet
The Sangeet evening took the glamor quotient of the wedding to the next level with its glitzy decor and rousing revelries. An enchanting crystal walkway with a canopy of baby’s breath and hanging birds led into the magical occasion. Swathed in hues of blue and decked with crystal chandeliers, disco balls, and more, the evening saw a cross between cocktail elegance and disco magic.
Wedding
Imagined in a refreshing summer palette of pistachio green and rose pink, the wedding was as enchanting as could be! Dressed in a white achkan, the groom arrived with great pomp and splendor, accompanied by his energetic baraat. The bride was resplendent in her yellow and red saree as she walked down the aisle and exchanged garlands with the groom under the breathtaking floral mandap.
Reception
The festivities came to a grand conclusion with an opulent Reception dinner, almost “Gatsby-ian” in its grandeur. Rich red floral arrangements, jewel-toned seating, and crystal paraphernalia filled the space, while the guests looked dapper in their evening best! Dressed in red and black, the newlyweds were the picture of happiness as their loved ones showered them with good wishes and blessings.
