Wedding Planning
The couple envisioned the culmination of their families and cultures in an intimate backyard wedding full of personal details and tender moments of love. While most of their functions were held at the bride’s home, their haldi and Sangeet were hosted at The Ritz-Carlton Pune. The team of Kkings Events was entrusted to plan out every detail, while the team of Design HQ breathed life into the decor concepts for each occasion. The award-winning photography team of House on the Clouds froze their special moments in shots of candid beauty.
Wedding Functions
Haldi
The traditional haldi ceremony, held at The Ritz Carlton Pune, was a vibrant tapestry of love, laughter, and cherished family moments. From the minimalistic decor adorned with marigold blooms to the heartwarming rituals, the occasion saw the coming together of both families in a joyful celebration.
Mehndi
The enchanting backyard mehndi ceremony painted a picture of a serene green oasis with lush greenery, billowing white drapes, and hanging flowers. Creative table arrangements featured lemons, coconuts, and flowers, while marigold arrangements added pops of vibrant yellow. Guests mingled and enjoyed the festivities with henna artists and were treated to delightful favors such as bangles and maang tikka. Bollywood star Jackie Shroff, who was in attendance, was also seen flaunting his mehndi!
Counters for pottery and block printing where guests could try their hand at creating unique designs were loved by all, and the evening was taken to new heights by the musical stylings of Kamakshi Khanna.
Hindu Wedding
Imagined in hues of pink, the enchanting garden wedding evoked the beauty of an artwork where nature intertwined with cultural traditions. The mesmerizing floral mandap showcased traditional Indian paintings and featured local blooms such as roses and lotus, while a canopy of cascading garlands hung from the branches above, crafting a cozy sanctuary for the union of two families. The groom arrived in a quirky baraat atop an auto rickshaw painted in the hues of the Guatemalan flag and decked with flowers, and the celebrations abound in fun and flavor.
Christian Wedding
The couple followed up their Hindu wedding ceremony with Christian nuptials, hosting the function once again with a backyard celebration. The lush greenery of the lawns was lit up with blooms in every color to create an exotic paradise. A floral aisle flanked by elegant white guest seating led to the mesmerizing altar under which the couple took their vows for the second time.
Guests and kids left the couple heartfelt notes of love and congratulations for them to read later, while singer Prateek Kuhad added to the romantic ambiance with his melodious voice.
Sangeet
Kicking the revelries up a notch, the couple hosted a grand Sangeet at The Ritz-Carlton Pune. Floral arrangements of red roses and soft lighting infused the regal atmosphere with an aura of decadence, setting the mood for a night of music, dance, and entertainment. Emcee Vishaal Rasquinha had everyone revved up all evening, and the couple and their loved ones had a gala time putting up performances and dancing the night away to the beats of their DJ.
