Ramya and Chandu, Bangalore
The illustrious Taj West End played host to this high profile union of two hotel and retail head honchos.
Ramya Ravi, the director of Nandhana Group of hotels, recently got married to Chandu Reddy, the director of a renowned retail chain called Sangeetha Mobiles, in a grand wedding in Bangalore. The #RumNCha couple picked Taj West End, Bangalore, an illustrious heritage hotel, to host their Sangeet function for its expansive indoor spaces, sprawling lawns and unmatched hospitality.
How They Met
The blushing bride shares, “I’d like to call our story a ‘Destiny Play’ since our paths crossed multiple times due to our respective careers, a couple of mutual friends who were largely instrumental, and finally an arranged marriage setup proposed to us by our parents. There was always mutual respect and love for each other, which made our relationship stronger, and we finally committed to a lifetime of togetherness.”
Wedding Functions
Mehndi
The wedding celebrations began with a vibrant mehndi function at the bride’s residence decorated with blue-hued drapes and pastel-colored blooms lending a fresh and modern touch. Ramya looked elegant in an off-white sequined crop top and skirt set from Mishru as she got mehendi applied to her hands.
Sangeet
The sangeet gala was filled with captivating dance performances by the couple, and their close friends and family took turns to shake a leg and wow everyone with their acts. However, the highlight of the evening was the star couple who made heads turn as they walked in looking their stylish best, where Ramya donned a deep brown and gold ensemble by Kartikeya, and Chandu picked a black kurta and jacket set by Jatin Malik Couture.
Wedding
The wedding venue was festooned with strings of jasmine buds and lots of red roses, that radiated a romantic vibe. The duo was seen twinning for their big day where Ramya donned a beautiful blush pink and beige Tulsi Silks kanjivaram saree, and the groom looked dapper in a beige-colored sherwani from Chola.
Reception
The finale of the grand wedding was the tastefully planned reception, which featured decorations of fresh flowers and soft lights that exuded elegance. The newlyweds made a jaw-dropping entry in complementing outfits where Ramya wore a stunning white heavily embellished Manish Malhotra lehenga and Chandu sported a Sarah and Sandeep black tuxedo.
Advice For Couples
Ramya shares, “Liking someone, or the fact that your family adores them, is not a good enough reason for a lifetime of commitment. Find someone you want to grow old with, someone who encourages you and makes you want to be a better version of yourself as you grow together.”
