This couple’s floating wedding mandap with its pastel hues and suspended blooms looked like a fairytale come true!
Ria Kamdar and Shalin Shah’s wedding was everything one imagines at a close-kit celebration of love – warm, serene and filled with spontaneous moments of sheer joy. Wedding Planning
The couple shares, “For us, the idea was to have a small close-knit and intimate wedding where we are surrounded by people who are equally enthusiastic to be a part of and celebrate with us.
Being on the opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of decor, food and vibe, The Vow Weavers really brought me and Shalin on the same page by being the realists. Having a keen eye for details, they left no stone unturned in making sure that our dream wedding is dreamy after all!

Wedding Functions
Mehndi and Pool Party
With a Mykonos theme decor, the mehendi and pool party had everyone kicking back and relaxing under the sun. Decorated with white and blue hues that reflected the breezy vibes of Greece. A blue-hued backdrop with tropical foliage flanked the couple as they sat on a comfy rose pink sofa and enjoyed the festivities.
Sangeet and After Party
After the laid back vibes of the mehndi, the couple amped up the glamor quotient with a glitzy sangeet! Entering the event with a scene reminiscent of the popular TV series ‘The Office’, the couple had their friends mesmerized. Flashing lights and graceful performances set the mood to party.
Post the sangeet celebration, the couple also hosted a neon pajama and flip-flops-themed after party where everyone continued to dance the night away!
Haldi
Taking the ‘pop of colours’ theme, the haldi didn’t follow the conventional ‘all-yellow’ decor route. Instead, the pops of yellow were complemented by dashes of pink and white. With the couple being welcomed by their friends holding up ribbon wands, the haldi was a playful affair as the to-be-weds seated on brass urlis were slathered with a mixture of turmeric by their loved ones.
Wedding
On the big day, romance took the front seat as the wedding followed a ‘shades of pink’ decor theme. A dreamy floating mandap decked up with baby’s breath and lined with pink blooms was the center of attention while the furnishings were kept simple to keep the mandap as the focal point. The bride, inspired by Kiara Advani and Siddharth Malhotra’s wedding entry, entered under a phoolon ki chaadar while the song ‘Raanjha’ played in the background. For her second entry, the bride was welcomed with lotus blooms from the groom’s side and the groom was welcomed with roses from the bride’s side.”
Advice For Couples
The couple shares, “Be patient during the pre-wedding stress; be considerate towards your partner and parents because everyone is equally stressed. And rest as much as possible – this is the key to enjoying your own wedding festivities.”
