How They Met
With a journey of more than a decade, Ritu and Karan’s relationship began as friends in college, which gradually transformed into love and togetherness. Eventually they brought their families into the fold as they decided to take their bond to the next level and begin a new chapter as life partners.
The Mumbai based couple decided to host the festivities amidst the grandeur and magnanimity of Hotel Sahara Star. After having postponed the wedding once due to the Pandemic, the couple was set to marry in an intimate ceremony in July ‘21 and turned to the team of DS Weddings to plan and execute their wedding dreams. They share, “Working with DS Weddings was an amazing experience. Humble and incredibly professional, they shouldered every stress and responsibility so we could focus on enjoying the functions. We cannot recommend them enough.”
The bride wanted their functions to be colorful and vibrant and had an abundance of ideas about themes and decor, all of which was beautifully executed by National Decorators, and captured in stunning shots by Wedding Pheras.
The celebrations commenced with a lively Mehndi function at home. Plush flowers and foliage adorned the venue for the occasion, while colorful prints and drapes beautified the stage setup where everyone joyfully reveled into the night. The bride and her loved ones got their hands decorated with pretty henna designs.
The glitzy Sangeet night saw rousing revelries replete with stunning decor, high-octane performances and non-stop enjoyment. Unique lighting elements and shimmery decor came together to create a magical ambience.
The wedding ceremony was a floral wonderland no less than a dream, and it was adorned with an ethereal decor of fresh flowers to match the bride’s vision. Soft hues of ivory and pastels ruled the space with stunning floral arrangements covering every inch of the venue. The bride walked in under her phoolon ki chadar bedecked with baby’s breath. Cascades of flowers from the canopy dotted with crystal lamps and chandeliers hung overhead as the couple pledged eternal love.

“The most important tip to every couple awaiting their wedding is to enjoy all your functions, because this magical time won’t come again. More importantly, don’t let any disagreements over wedding planning affect your relationship, because everything does work out in the end.
