How They Met
Ritu recollects, “We first crossed paths at a common friend’s wedding where we were introduced and I gave the matter no more thought. However, little did I know that Suyash was waiting for our married friend to come back from her honeymoon in order to arrange a date with me. We were properly re-introduced after which a date ensued. The chemistry from the first date was instant and we haven’t looked back since.”

Wedding Venue
When it came to choosing the right venue, the couple was adamant about not hosting their wedding at a destination that was too commercial. In their quest for solitude, luxury as well as convenience, the duo chose the beautiful Taj Fisherman’s Cove in Chennai that fit their vision perfectly. Describing their process the duo shares, “We had tentative plans of hosting the wedding in South India and we did not want the destination to be too commercial. Hence, we chose Chennai and from the first moment we set our eyes on Taj Fisherman’s Cove, we were completely convinced. Everything about the property was perfect for our plans from the capacity to the location. Also, it has plenty of vast spaces that not only allowed us to be creative but also gave the guests enough space to enjoy themselves.”

“Following a pastel color scheme, the decor consisted of rustic and vintage boho elements that suited the pristine surrounding beautifully. The whole ceremony was abounding with cute details, and I made my way to the mandap with a walk through the beach surrounded by my loved ones. The seating consisted of a toupee tent while an island bar kept everyone in high spirits. Later, everyone made their way to the wooden pergola seating for dinner.”

Farmer’s Market
“The biggest and most planned out event of all, the Farmer’s Market was the highlight of our nuptials. And being a huge Farmer’s Market fan, I had always envisioned having an event revolve around the theme. So when the opportunity arose to have a relaxed party the day after the wedding, we went ahead with the Farmer’s Market theme.

The venue’s layout consisted of a little green lawn, a small glasshouse, a wooden deck, and a fantastic view of the beach. Keeping this in mind, decor-wise we chose all barn and rustic themed elements while also including plenty of games and food stalls. Overall, it was an extremely relaxed ambience where everyone had their share of fun as they gorged on delicious treats and lounged on the seats placed on the beach.”, shares Ritu.

The mastermind behind this glitzy event was Suyash who gave all his efforts in ensuring that everything went as planned. Punctuated with red and gold decor elements, the whole vibe was equally trippy and fabulous where everyone had the time of their lives!”, shares the happy bride.
