Encircled by verdant hills and swaying palms, Riyali Shah, a businesswoman, and Akash Pandey, a finance professional’s wedding in the bustling city of Bengaluru was the perfect expression of contemporary desi aesthetics. How They Met
Riyali shares, “A mutual friend invited Akash on a trip to Ooty with us and that’s how we first crossed paths! Things totally clicked between us while we had a great time holidaying in Ooty together.”
Wedding Planning
Wedding memories are one of the most precious that a couple carries with them. To make this union the most memorable, Riyali and Akash reached out to Israni Photography who was with them at every point capturing special moments as they embarked on their new beginning. Weddings Functions
Haldi
Taking a break from the usual Haldi rituals where the couple is slathered in turmeric paste, Riyali and Akash opted for a fuss-free version where they both showered each other with bright orange marigold petals. Decorated in a bohemian style with cane furniture, blooms and gold palm leaves, the event was indeed a serene one.
Sangeet
Featuring high octane dance performances, flashing lights and a colossal stage, the Sangeet had everyone on their feet. With entertainment being the priority at this event, everyone had a fun time under the stars as they showed off their moves and left the to-be-weds exultant!
Mexican Night
Hosted indoors, the Mexican Night stayed true to its name as it featured professional salsa dancers who left everyone in awe. Decorated with elegant centerpieces that featured baby’s breath and candle stands, the dinner tables were spread out on the lawn. Inside the banquet space, the couple enjoyed playing traditional Mexican games as their guests cheered them on.
Wedding
In line with tradition and hosted under a marbled mandap, the Wedding looked like a desi fairytale with its perfect balance of modern as well as traditional elements. While bride Riyali made a splash in her bright red Sabyasachi lehenga, Akash contrasted her in a mirror work striped sherwani.
