Over the course of two days, Ruchi and Arnaud began a new chapter in their lives, making countless happy memories along the way. Hosted at Jai Mahal Palace in Jaipur, their beautiful nuptials were planned by Weddingsutra Favorite – Kaleerein by Kanika Kumria. Here’s a glimpse into the big events.
How They Met
For Ruchi and Arnaud, it was their professional lives that contributed significantly to their personal ones. The two met as colleagues at the Google office in California. Their meeting leading them on a journey of love and togetherness.
Wedding Venue
Ruchi and Arnaud’s grand wedding took place at the Jai Mahal Palace, which has been the residence of three prime ministers of Jaipur. Located in the heart of the Pink City, with 18 acres of beautifully-landscaped Mughal gardens, the heritage property added cultural depth to the festivities. Indo-Saracenic architecture transported the couple and their loved ones to regal times; the celebrations nothing less than royal.
Wedding Planners
The couple’s big day was orchestrated by the team at Kaleerein by Kanika Kumria. The meticulous planning ensured that the affair was absolutely unforgettable. Sharing with us their vision for this wedding, Kanika said, “The idea was to create a setup that was minimalistic and refreshing. The two of them were looking for something that was festive without being over the top. We chose the color palettes keeping this in mind, passing up on imposing decor elements and choosing daintier ones instead.”
Wedding Functions
Mehndi
Ruchi and Arnaud’s wedding began on a cheery note with a daytime mehndi ceremony that was hosted at the gardens of the Jai Mahal Palace. Fresh flowers in bright colors decked the space, while fuschia and neon-green cushions accented the all-white seating. Bird cages, cut-outs of the couple’s initials, umbrellas and a photo booth were all included as part of the setup. The bride looked resplendent in a multi-colored lehenga, while the groom looked dapper in a crisp shirt and navy trousers.
Sangeet
The duo’s sangeet was a lively and sophisticated affair. Warm lighting shone on beautiful floral centerpieces, crafted using red roses. Strings of fairy lights and glass beads decorated the trees that dotted the lawns. A large wall of candles made an exquisite statement, drawing everyone’s attention. Including local cultural elements, the planners organized a show using Rajasthani puppets for the guests, which was enjoyed by everyone present.
Haldi
The couple hosted a haldi and chooda ceremony with all their loved ones in attendance. This occasion was all about enhancing the couple’s glow before their nuptials, as well as celebrating Ruchi’s transition into her new life.
Wedding
White and gold were the colors that brought the lawns at the Jai Mahal Palace to life on the evening of Ruchi and Arnaud’s wedding. While drapes in these elegant hues brought in a touch of understated elegance, abundant roses heightened the romantic mood. Going with the traditional Indian bridal palette, Ruchi dressed in a gorgeous red lehenga. Arnaud complemented her by pairing his ivory sherwani with a safa in the same shade as her ensemble.
