Jab They Met
Dating back to 12 years, Sadhvi and Arpit’s love blossomed while they were classmates in 10th grade. Over the years, their relationship journeyed with them across the globe as they set off to chase their dreams. With Arpit studying at Penn State and Sadhvi living in the Caribbean, the two nurtured a long-distance relationship and often travelled together, their love only growing with each passing year. After a decade of togetherness, Arpit popped the question at a Diwali party, and the couple decided to tie the knot on the day they completed 12 years together! How special is that?
Wedding Planning
For a grandiose Wedding brimming with luxury and top-notch hospitality, the couple chose the stunning property of Raffles The Palm Dubai. Wedding Functions
Welcome Lunch
The festivities kickstarted with a warm Welcome Lunch hosted on the hotel’s rooftop. The couple and their loved ones mingled over mimosas as they geared up for the upcoming celebrations.
Engagement
The evening got a glitzy makeover for the luxe Engagement party, a modish masquerade ball that could have rivalled the glamor quotient of a Vogue Event. Everyone from the groom to the guests sported classic black ensembles, while the bride was the centre of attention in a ravishing red gown by couturier Gaurav Gupta complete with a feathered net headdress. Singer Manj Musik turned the evening up several notches with his rousing tunes.
Haldi
The sunny Haldi ceremony was the highlight of the wedding when it came to enjoyment and fun. The bride was welcomed by the groom’s family with a showstopping performance. The couple were showered with flower petals and smeared with turmeric paste amidst roaring laughter and blessings, after which they had a gala time on the beach with their friends and family. For the Chooda ceremony, the bride honored her mother by wearing her wedding saree for the occasion.
Wedding
The Wedding ceremony boasted breathtaking floral décor and was imbued with the emotions and love of the couple and their families, making it immensely special and memorable. In coordinated ensembles of pink and red, the bride and groom looked like the portrait of happiness as they exchanged garlands in front of a whimsical wooded altar scattered with pink blooms before heading for the sunset pheras on the beach.
Reception
An elaborate Reception followed soon after in Delhi that sported grand décor and high-octane celebrity performances. This celebration of almost 2000 guests was no less than a concert, and a fitting encore to the Dubai wedding. Singers Harrdy Sandhu and Navraj Hans entertained the crowd with their riveting tunes, making them groove till the wee hours of the night.
Advice for couples
