How they met
Sana reflects, “Meeting Sujay reminded me of the adage of meeting the right person at the right time. Even though our mothers had known each other for years, we were introduced to each other in a formal arranged setup. While I had been living independently outside Jammu for the past 9 years, Sujay was very attached to our hometown. However, despite our different life experiences respectively, we connected on a similarity of priorities and life goals the moment we met. Even though he had come prepared with speakers on our first date to fill any awkward silences, we never needed it for a minute, and even laughed about it. While our first date itself laid a great foundation for us, we still met again to further cement our conviction that we had found the right person, and soon broke the happy news to our families. Till date, I feel fortunate to have met Sujay at the right point of time in my life”.

Wedding Planning
The couple decided to host their wedding revelries in their home town of Jammu with three beautiful functions. The décor and arrangements were mainly all designed and executed by the couple’s family members, who all pitched in to bring their vision to life. The couple donned gorgeous outfits by a range of local designers.

Wedding Functions

Engagement
The celebrations kick-started with the engagement function. The glamorous evening soirée saw modern décor of pampas grass, crystal props, chandeliers and floral arrangements in hues of white and silver, creating an ethereal contrast against the rich navy drapes. The gleam of the shimmering décor reflected off the ambient lighting to cast a charming blue glow on the revelries. The groom looked dapper in a black tuxedo and the bride looked ravishing in a sequined red gown as they exchanged rings in front of their loved ones.

The vibrant Mehendi function consisted of flowing drapes, colorful flowers and quirky props. The lively hues of peach and sky-blue set a pretty backdrop against the lush green surroundings, as everyone enjoyed the revelries that abounded in joyous music, dance and laughter. The couple looked sunkissed in charming, summer hues and perfectly complemented the décor. The bride teamed her attire with eye-catching kaleerein customized with her and Sujay’s names.

Wedding
Sana shares, “The one thing that I and Sujay both agreed on from the start was that we wanted a day wedding, so that everyone could enjoy all the festivities together.” Dainty hues of lavender and other pastel tones set the base for the décor, while palm leaves, vines and other tropical blooms added a lush wildness to the décor, creating a magical ambience. The groom looked regal in an exquisite mint green sherwani, while the bride wore a mesmerizingly beautiful blush pink lehenga.
