Sanya and Rahul, The Carnival, Ranchi

From bunched tassels to a hashtag cutout, pretty floral vines and crystal chandeliers, Sanya and Rahul incorporated a range of diverse decor elements into their various wedding functions.

One of the biggest myths about love is probably the notion that we all have a “type.” In reality, these checklists don’t matter when you know something is right. And that’s just the way it was for Rahul when he met Sanya. When they told their families about their decision to marry each other, their loved ones were ecstatic. What followed was a beautiful celebration of their union with their closest family and friends planned by WeddingSutra Favourite Evolve Weddings that was captured by another WeddingSutra Favorite Twogether Studios.

How We Met
As a firm believer in destiny, Rahul saw the hand of fate behind his first meeting with Sanya. She had him bowled over from the start, and he charmed her too. Sanya was looking for a partner who loved and cared for her, and he made her his priority from day one. Her vivaciousness contrasted with his reserved yet warm nature. Long late night conversations followed, and soon enough, love grew and blossomed between them.

Wedding Planning
To plan their nuptials, the families got on board Evolve Weddings, and moments of the celebrations were captured by Twogether Studios. Talking about the revelries and what went behind planning and designing this couple’s big day Varun Dua of Evolve Weddings said, “In terms of decor and styling, we wanted to give Sanya and Rahul a wedding that was a reflection of their personalities. Therefore vibrancy and grandeur were the two key factors around which we shaped their nuptials. Every setup blended these two themes with ease and resulted in a memorable celebration.”

Arjun Kartha of Twogether Studios shared, “Rahul and Sanya’s wedding was a beautiful three-day celebration of their love, and we loved shooting every bit of it! Rahul made for a dashing groom while Sanya made for a gorgeous bride and the adoration they had for each other could not have been more evident.”

Wedding Functions

Mehndi
Sanya and Rahul commenced their wedding celebrations with a vibrant outdoor daytime mehndi. A burst of orange, yellow and pink hues brightened up the venue. Evolve Weddings elevated the mood by adding interesting elements such as bunches of tassels suspended from the branches of the trees and a large cut-out of their wedding hashtag that had their guests pulling out their cameras to capture all the loveliness. A fuchsia meridienne (short sofa) placed against the backdrop of a ring created using curly willow sticks, giant fishtail palms and flowers made for a charming seat for the couple. The lively event saw a lot of games and even a super-entertaining tug-of-war. The bride wore a bright pink lehenga from Osaa while the groom opted for a blue achkan from Heritage.

Sangeet
For their sangeet, the two decided to step away from the bright colors and opted for a minimalistic, elegant setup that made the most of LED screens and glass elements. While tall LED panels that looked like windows with views of falling snow bordered the venue, a large screen made for the backdrop of the stage, and the changing visuals helped create the right mood. The ring ceremony was followed by performances by the first Female Bollywood Rockstar Anushka Manchanda who had everybody dancing to her spirited tunes! A yellow and pink lehenga from Osaa was Sanya’s pick for the night, and Rahul went with a black outfit from Study by Janak.

Haldi
An intimate ceremony, the haldi ritual saw only the nearest and dearest of the duo’s family attending. The decor for the haldi was simple, and the highlight was the beautiful floral arrangements created using tuberoses and marigold blooms.

Wedding
The wedding setup by Evolve Weddings was marked by sophistication, from the overhead installations with floral vines spilling over, larges vases with elaborate flower arrangements and crystal chandeliers casting a warm glow over it all. The highlight of the wedding decor was the ‘Tunnel Till Eternity’ which was a 150ft long tunnel, created with 1200 tea light candles, decked with falling wisteria that added to its exuberance. The ceremony was conducted by Raghav Pandit Ji who gave the pheras his own musical spin in order to make the affair more engaging.

The couple decided to opt for creations by Sabyasachi. The bride wore a gorgeous red lehenga, and the groom opted for a beige sherwani with floral motifs.
