Wedding Planning
The couple chose to host their celebrations at Mercure Goa Devaaya Resort, every detail of which was planned by the talented team of The Wedding Entourage. Talking about their experience, they share, “Since the wedding was taking place during the monsoon season, we needed to host all functions either indoors or under covered spaces. The Wedding Entourage did a fabulous job creating unique decor concepts and details to elevate the look and feel of the space. Playing around with light and colors, they crafted stunning results that were appreciated by all our guests. Planning a monsoon wedding seemed like a logistical challenge before, but they pulled off everything beautifully. We would recommend The Wedding Entourage to anyone planning their wedding”.

A firm believer in making wedding dreams come true, Goa-based The Wedding Entourage is known for its attention to detail and unique designs. Co-founders Myron Fernandes and Priyanka Shetty believe every couple is different and one-of-a-kind, and craft bespoke celebrations to express their unique story of love. Instead of offering standard packages, they focus on providing what the couple wants as per their budget and preferences, creating an extraordinary experience each time!

Sangeet
The festivities kicked off with a boho Sangeet for a musical night of revelries. Soft white drapes and fairy lights added to the rustic charm of the earthy space setting a relaxed atmosphere, as the couple exchanged rings and spent the evening dancing and enjoying with their loved ones. The bride looked spectacular in a sleek white saree while the groom kept it stylish with an indigo blue suit.

Haldi
The next morning dawned with an exuberant Haldi ceremony brimming with vibrant decor and fun-filled festivities. A mix of marigolds, sunflowers and yellow drapes set a traditional tone with a modern feel, while red roses added a refreshing pop of color. After a lively ceremony, everyone cooled off in the resort pool.

Wedding
Imagined in a serene yet regal color palette of white and gold, the wedding decor channeled the couple’s personalities. The minimalistic mandap saw a mix of modern and traditional elements and was crafted by jasmine, rajnigandhas, ornate brass pots, and more. The groom chose a simple yellow achkan for the ceremony, while the bride wore a lemon and blush lehenga.

Advice for couples
“If you are planning a monsoon wedding, a couple of useful tips to keep in mind would be to choose the right kind of outfits and decor elements. Stay away from candles and opt for faux flowers for areas that are not directly visible to the guests, using real ones for only the mandap and centerpieces for a refined look. This way, you can ensure minimal damage in case of rain. Also, be mindful of waterlogging and potential rain-related issues when picking your venue, to avoid inconvenience for yourself and your guests during the celebrations.”
