Shreya and Kabir, The Westin Gurgaon, New Delhi
Intimate, elegant, and steeped in tradition, this couple’s dreamy wedding ceremony in Delhi was a heartfelt celebration of love.
A pastel-hued celebration rooted in love, tradition, and understated elegance, Shreya and Kabir’s wedding was the perfect reflection of their personalities—intimate, meaningful, and effortlessly graceful. Captured through the discerning lens of WeddingSutra Favorite – Mohit Jaura Photography, each frame tells a story steeped in emotion and detail.
How They Met
“Kabir and I met through a beautiful coincidence—his college friend happened to be married to my best friend,” shares Shreya. “We instantly connected on our very first date, and within just a few more, we both felt an unspoken certainty that this was something deeply meaningful. It was a feeling neither of us could quite articulate, yet it lingered with quiet conviction. What drew me to Kabir was his rare blend of warmth and ambition—he was effortlessly kind and affectionate, yet unwaveringly focused when it came to pursuing what he truly cared about. As we navigated the early days of a long-distance relationship, we discovered shared values, similar passions, and a strikingly aligned vision for the life we hoped to build together.”
“Kabir proposed in a way that was so quintessentially him—unassuming yet unforgettable. During a holiday to Udaivilas, after a scenic trek to the Monsoon Palace perched high above the city, he got down on one knee, and in that serene moment, asked me to be his forever.”
Wedding Planning
“Given that both Kabir and I are private and slightly introverted, we had always envisioned an intimate wedding—one that felt deeply personal and rooted in meaning,” shares Shreya. “I had dreamt of an Anand Karaj ceremony for as long as I can remember, and it felt incredibly special that both our families follow Sikhism. We chose to host the wedding during the day at The Westin, surrounded by serene pastel hues that lent an air of understated elegance. The ceremony was conducted by Kabir’s Masi, who leads her own Gurdwara in the U.S., and it remains one of the most heartfelt and graceful weddings I’ve ever witnessed—it truly felt like a blessing.”
The couple adds, “We’re so grateful to Mohit Jaura Photography for capturing every moment with such finesse. They have a way of seeing beyond the frame—their work reflects not just how the day looked, but exactly how it felt. Each photograph is filled with warmth, detail, and emotion, allowing us to relive those moments over and over again.”

Shreya shares, “The Anand Karaj was bathed in soft daylight and surrounded by a palette of delicate pastels. The decor was ethereal—lush floral garlands draped around the mandap, subtle ivory tones, and a floral ceiling canopy that looked like something out of a dream. Guests were dressed in shades of blush, sage, and champagne, adding to the soft, romantic atmosphere.”

Sangeet and Reception
“Following the wedding, we hosted our sangeet and reception at Amaara Farms,” shares Shreya. “Living in Delhi, I had always dreamt of one celebration set against the backdrop of a lush farm—with sprawling lawns, twinkling lights, and a warm, open-air vibe. That night was everything I had hoped for and more. The space came alive with music, laughter, and incredible food, creating the perfect setting for hours of dancing and celebration with our closest friends. It was a night of pure joy—unfiltered and unforgettable.”
