The Proposal
For his surprise wedding proposal, Udit whisked Shrishti away to Udaipur, a city she’s never visited before, on the pretence of a pre-wedding photoshoot at Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur. And, as they were clicking pictures, Udit swiftly went down on one knee to pop the question in front of her entire family.

Encircled by elaborately designed Mughal Gardens and flaunting heritage architecture that has stood the test of time, Rambagh Palace echoed the duo’s vision of a regal wedding. With its numerous venues where one can orchestrate innovative events and the spacious rooms that reflect the region’s rich Rajasthani heritage, this hotel served as the ideal venue where the couple could revel in tradition in their very own modern style.

Wedding Planning
Planning a grand destination wedding is no easy feat and to make sure their vision came to life, the couple handed over the planning and design reigns to TailorMade Experiences. Zashank Bhatia and Shashank Gupta from TailorMade Experiences share, “The couple wanted a grand Indian wedding. And, while they paid homage to traditions, they also wanted to have plenty of fun celebrating their love. So, for us, the aim was to strike the right balance between heritage and new-age style.”
Crafting their wedding invitation was WeddingSutra Favorite – Izzhaar by Core Designs who with their unbridled creativity keenly understood the couple’s personas to craft an invite that gave the guests a glimpse of all the revelries that lay in store for them.

Weddings Functions
Welcome Lunch
An ice breaker for the guests to mingle more freely in the events that were to come, the Welcome Lunch decor took its cue from the rich culture of Rajasthan and even consisted of local folk artists who entertained the guests.

Sangeet and Engagement
Zashank from TailorMade Experiences shares, “The brief we received for this event was that it had to be larger than life. And for us the biggest challenge was to match the existing grandeur of the venue. Thankfully, we had a superb team at hand who came up with some amazing ideas. The sangeet and sagaai witnessed some great performances and was followed by a casino themed after party.

Mehndi
Shashank shares, “They wanted a traditional Rajasthani mehndi and the decor was a reflection of the same with its bright hues. Apart from getting their palms patterned, the mehndi event had a plethora of fun engagements and favors that awed the guests.

Wedding
Zashank shares, “The big day was planned with extreme grandeur. The couple wanted the classic mix of traditional glamour with dashes of contemporary tones. Knowing this, we used a red and gold color palette, white blooms and brass diya stands that complemented each other.”
