Shruti and Varnit, Kolkata
Swathed in fuchsia and yellow shades and equipped with an ornate swing, this couple’s Mehendi event was elegant, vibrant and breezy.
Shruti and Varnit’s first meeting had their parents playing cupid, and from thereon, the duo’s friendship blossomed into love. Hosted at Kolkata, the duo’s wedding was photographed by WeddingSutra Favorite – Canvas Chaos who with each click ensured that the couple’s unfiltered joy was captured for them to cherish for the rest of their lives.
How They Met
“Varnit and I first met in a typical arranged marriage set up. However, our parents did give us ample time to get to know each other. For three months, we kept in touch, and a strong friendship developed between us. Soon, we both realized that we were made for each other and decided to take the plunge. On our wedding day, Varnit very sweetly wrote a heartwarming letter to me which he left in my room. And as I read it before leaving my room, I couldn’t stop the tears from rolling down my face as I knew, that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him!”, shares, Shruti.
Acknowledging the importance of having a talented photographer on the team, the duo chose Canvas Chaos who impressed them with their dedication and skills. Impressed by their work, the happy bride shares, “I always knew that I wanted someone who was as particular as I am about the wedding and team Canvas Chaos did not let me down at all. Working with them was an extremely easy experience as they made everyone around them feel comfortable by striking a rapport with every family member. Furthermore, they were also extremely punctual about their delivery date and the results were absolutely astounding. Team Canvas Chaos gave their all to our wedding and we couldn’t be any happier!”
Adding to the team were decorators Knots and Dreams, makeup artist Prasenjit Biswas, wedding planner Credo Events along with invitation designer Sanjana Jain.
“With a yellow theme and lots of gota work, the Haldi was a boisterous occasion where all our family members playfully smeared us with haldi. Decorated with vibrant marigold blooms and filled with joy, this function was one of my favorites!” shares Shruti.
For the Mehendi however, the duo decided to go bold with a Punjabi inspired fuchsia and yellow decor that cheered everyone up. Equipped with a swing decked with flowers, this occasion witnessed Shruti at her joyful best as she reveled with her gal pals.
Giving the glamor quotient a healthy boost, the Sangeet was a glitzy affair bathed in gold and white where the couple along with their loved ones took the dance floor by storm by grooving to their favorite tracks.
Traditional yet glamorous, Shruti and Varnit’s wedding was a feast for the eyes as it took place under the velvety dark sky. Celebrated with fireworks, confetti, and rose petals, the bright wedding ceremony contrasted beautifully with the night sky.
Advice for Couples
“Planning the wedding was extremely exhausting but also fulfilling. However, a week before the wedding, I ensured that I spent quality time with my family as the big day drew nearer. In my opinion, one should always take a step back a few days before the wedding to enjoy the process without sweating it out with the small details.” advises the happy bride.
