An unforgettable celebration marked by personal touches, eclectic themes, and heartfelt moments, Simran and Mohit’s wedding was a joyous coming together of traditions, revelry, and elegance. Wedding Planning
Simran’s vision for the wedding décor was deliberate and clear. She collaborated closely with her mother-in-law to ensure each function had a distinct identity. She shares, “From the very beginning, we were sure about one thing—the use of fresh flowers would be exclusive to the wedding ceremony. For everything else, we wanted to go bold with alternative materials and themes, so that the wedding truly stood out.”
Reflecting on her experience with Knotty Affair, her wedding photographers, Simran shares, “Wedding photographers Knotty Affair have truly won my heart! I’ve loved working with them and cannot wait to see the magic they’ve created through the pictures and videos!”
Wedding Functions
Anand Karaj
Bathed in the serenity of tradition, the Anand Karaj was a deeply intimate affair. Mohit looked dapper in a soft blush sherwani, while Simran radiated grace in a muted pastel lehenga with intricate threadwork. The couple exchanged garlands in the presence of the Guru Granth Sahib, surrounded by a delicate marigold canopy and sacred warmth, making for a spiritually rich start to the festivities.
Haldi
Their Haldi ceremony was an exuberant, boho-inspired celebration under a sunlit canopy. Wicker elements, dried branches, and yellow marigolds brought an organic charm to the space. Guests dressed in mustard and ochre hues added to the festive palette.
Mehndi
Simran’s mehndi was a riot of color and texture. Draped fabrics in vibrant tones, tassels, and whimsical organza flowers transformed the venue into a playful paradise. Surrounded by her closest friends, Simran admired her freshly adorned mehndi in a scene full of warmth and nostalgia.
Wedding
True to the bride’s vision, fresh blooms in ivory cascaded from above, interspersed with gold bells, creating a divine backdrop for the pheras. Simran, resplendent in a traditional red lehenga with intricate zardosi, was the picture of bridal grace, while Mohit looked regal in an ivory sherwani.
Sangeet
An unapologetically glamorous evening, the sangeet was a blend of Bollywood grandeur and Broadway drama. A stage draped in lush red velvet set the tone, while shimmering lights added an old-world theatrical charm. Simran dazzled in a sparkling blue gown as the couple lit up the stage with their performance. The evening transitioned into high-energy celebrations, with friends and family raising toasts at a quirky ‘Shots Box Office’ bar—a nod to their love for cinema and celebration.
