Bedecked with pink blooms and a circular open-air beachside mandap, this couple’s fusion destination wedding was high on romance!
A stunning fusion of two cultures, Simran Malhotra, and Ashish Sharma’s fusion wedding in the month of March flaunted a striking array of colors along with a generous dollop of glamor. With WeddingSutra Favorite – LensEyeZia Productions taking charge on the photography front their wedding was captured in stunning shots!
How They Met
Simran shares, “Ashish and I have been together for more than a decade. He sent me an invite on BBM and I accepted because he looked so handsome. Co-incidentally, we met on New Year’s Eve in Mumbai at a party and it was love at first sight!”
Precious memories are one of the most important things one takes back from a wedding and ensuring that the couple got all that and more, were LensEyeZia Productions who were with them at every step of the way grabbing stunning candids or dynamic portrait shots where the bride twirled dreamily in her stunning lehenga, the photography team didn’t miss out on a single opportunity!
Akansha Verma from LensEyeZia Productions shares, “Simran and Ashish’s wedding was a beautiful union of Sikh and Hindu traditions and we’re honored to have been a part of it. They had a fun-filled array of events from a colorful Mehndi, to a surreal Wedding, and a glam Reception. Their fusion wedding was gorgeous from the start to finish and we especially enjoyed Simran’s four incredible outfit changes!”
Mehndi and Haldi
Swathed in festive pink and orange hues, the wedding celebrations began with a Mehndi event where Simran and the ladies had a gala time ambling on the lawn. Their friends welcomed them with color bombs as the couple made a stylish entry into the event and then went on to play fun games together like dancing the limbo. Later, the duo went on to celebrate a playful Haldi where everyone mischievously slathered the couple with turmeric.
Stepping up the glamor levels with bright lights and high octane performances, the Sangeet was mind-blowing. Suspended silver sequins, multicolored lights and a huge stage were the highlights of the decor. On the other hand, the to-be-weds were highly energetic as they took the stage by storm with their lively performances.
Using a generous amount of pink and white hues in the form of fresh blooms, Simran and Ashish’s Wedding was serene and exquisite. With an open-air mandap circled by pretty pink roses and supported by chrome pillars against the backdrop of the beach, the couple looked picture perfect as they tied the knot.
Simple, minimalistic yet retaining the flavor of tradition, the Anand Karaj ceremony exuded a sense of peace. With minimal decorations, the spotlight was on the couple who looked beautiful together in coordinated outfits. While Simran wore a classic red bridal lehenga, Ashish looked dapper in a white sherwani paired with a red turban matching the hue of his bride’s outfit.
Bringing the festivities to a close on an elegant yet highly glamorous note, the Reception was lit up by chandeliers and an LED signage that said ‘Better Together’. Decorated by white flowers that were interspersed with foliage and wooden elements, the decor blended in with the surrounding nature to create an enchanting ambience under the stars.
