This couple’s sunset wedding in Agra brimmed with romance as they enjoyed a stunning view of the Taj Mahal while tying the knot!
Simran Rajpal and Lakshay Khanna’s wedding festivities were luxurious and jam-packed with fun! A beautiful ode to their love that was peppered with moments of togetherness characteristic of exuberant Indian weddings, this union was photographed beautifully by WeddingSutra Favorite – CoolBluez Photography.
How They Met
Simran shares, “Ours is a typical millennial love story. Around five years ago, Lakshay who is my best friend’s cousin, spotted a picture of me on my friend’s phone. After enquiring about me, he proceeded to acquire my number and instantly shot off a text my way! We met almost a year after connecting and the rest is history!”
Wedding Planning
On the photography front, the couple decided to rope in CoolBluez Photography who with their knack for capturing the right moment at the right time delivered a collection of stunning photographs of the couple. The happy bride shares, “Team CoolBluez Photography were at their creative best as they went about capturing the smallest of details. At every point, they were with us. Weddings Functions
Mehndi
Hosted by the pool and swathed in a variety of hues, the Mehndi event was a fun-filled one with everyone shaking a leg under the breezy canopy. Quirky props had everyone hustling for selfies while the ladies showed off their henna patterned palms for the active lenses.
Cocktail
Glamorous with a touch of tradition, the cocktail was lit up by flashing lights and a colossal bar. A dancefloor sheltered by a canopy filled with suspended crystals dominated the decor while acrylic chairs gave the event a surreal feel.
Wedding
Simran Shares, “Our Wedding venue was the rooftop of the Taj Hotel & Convention Centre, Agra. Both of us were keen on having a sunset wedding with a beautiful view. Thankfully, we were blessed with a very clear view of the Taj Mahal which made it even more romantic.” An open-air mandap with chrome pillars was the highlight while hues of red brightened up the decor.
Reception
For the Reception, the couple gave the glamour levels a leg up with the venue decorated in silver tones and dotted with reflective decor elements. The duo cut a cake and filled up a champagne tower, to commence the celebrations while their loved ones had a gala time as they mingled with each other and reveled into the night. An unforgettable celebration indeed!
