Sohana and Niral, Vadodara

How they met
Sohana and Niral are among the precious few to have the honor of finding their soulmate in high school. Classmate and friends since the 2nd grade, they started dating in high school. What started as teenage love, transformed into an enduring bond that stood strong and unwavering for 8 years of long distance, before finding their way back to their home country and to each other.

The Proposal
Sohana got her dream proposal at Lake Pichhola in Udaipur. Set to their favorite song, she was left speechless when a boat floated by with a banner that said “Will you marry me?” As Niral went down on his knees, fireworks lit up the sky, and as Sohana gazed at the love of her life with awe, her friends and family came into view to surprise her and be a part of her special day.

The couple wanted a myriad of unique functions that celebrated them as a couple, and they entrusted the planning and execution of their wedding to Laksh Events. Wedding
Designed by Abhishek Arora, the wedding blended traditional inspirations with grandeur for a truly royal charm. A grand chandelier of Rajanigandha flowers added a fresh and auspicious feel, while the red and gold color palette along with the intricate Gate and Walkway with temple-themed decorative pillars looked ethereal. A huge Gazebo was created for an exquisite dining experience with shamdaans and floral arrangements decked with rich burgundy velvet drapes and overlays. A special Jaimala stage was created with the sitting area of Morari Bapu with a Ram backdrop and jhula. The groom made a unique Baraat entry with his sisters on a customized tractor, while the bride’s entry on a chariot accompanied by traditional dancers and incense was no less than that of a princess.

Advice for Couples
“Just go with the flow and enjoy the process. At the end of the day it is not going to matter what kind of flowers you had or what color chairs were used. What you are going to remember is how ecstatic you felt knowing that your happily ever after is about to begin!”
