How they met
Sonakshi Arora, a transplanted Mumbaikar and an Actuary by Profession met Mumbai-based entrepreneur Akshay Narula through a marriage portal. “It was an unusual move in today’s day of Tinder and Hinge, and it was definitely not “love at first sight”. Our first date in fact wasn’t off to a great start either. But then again, a rocky start is what generally makes a love story great”, she laughs. “As we met frequently and talked more, we felt a deep-rooted connection. We bonded over our love for traveling, exquisite cuisines and shopping. Coffee dates evolved into romantic sea-facing walks, lovely dinners, non-stop banter, and before we knew it, we were in love.”

Wedding Venue
The couple envisioned a venue that gave them the grandeur of a destination wedding while factoring in all necessary COVID precautions which they found in the Vivanta New Delhi, Dwarka. Their luxurious rooms, lovely indoor and outdoor event spaces not to mention impeccable hospitality and stringent health with all safety measures in place, made it the perfect location.

The gorgeous pastel green mandap decked with a floral canopy included a backdrop of Lord Ganesha, instilling a sense of auspicious serenity into the ambience as the couple tied the knot. Their coordinated blush pink ensembles perfectly complemented the décor.
