Sonal and Ashish, Goa

From a chance interaction on Facebook to falling in love over coffee dates, Sonal and Ashish’s beautiful love story entered a new phase with their lovely beach wedding in Goa. Every moment and emotion of the festivities were captured in timeless frames by WeddingSutra Favorite – Cupid Love Stories.

How They Met
Sonal shares, “Ashish and I both work in Bangalore. On a trip home, my dad told me about ‘this guy’ (Ashish) I should talk to, which is an advice that I promptly ignored. But surprisingly, I got a message from Ashish the next day on Facebook, asking to get to know me. I was intrigued, and we started talking, without intimating anyone else at home. Little did we know that we would end up getting hitched. We finally met when I returned for work, and our long conversations and coffee dates soon turned into something deeper.”

Wedding Planning
The couple entrusted the planning and execution of their wedding to 7Events. They share, “Whether you are saying ‘I do’ on the beach or the mountains, you need the right photographer to capture those dreamy memories. We wanted a photographer who was more about the moments and less about flashy images. After researching on wedding websites and social media, we found Cupid Love Stories! They truly surpassed our expectations, and ensured we have a smile on our faces every time we see our pictures.”

Ashish wore ensembles from Manyavar and Louis Philippe for the functions, while Sonal opted for Moksh and Koskii, and custom designed her wedding lehenga. Goa-based Makeup Mistress gave her flawless and unique looks for all the events.

Wedding Functions
Mehndi
The festivities kicked off with a vibrant mehndi function hosted outdoors. Bright drapes in hues of yellow, red and pink criss-crossed over the venue, creating a lively canopy over quirky decor comprising marigolds and colorful umbrellas. The groom wore a dark violet kurta, while the bride wore a charming floral lehenga.

Sangeet
The sangeet night was fun mix of music and dance with beautiful performances by the couple and their loves ones. Flanked by rustic wooden planks covered with foliage, the stage was printed with the couple’s initials for a personal touch. The couple wowed everyone in their coordinated purple outfits.

Haldi
The poolside haldi saw gorgeous decor with marigolds and drapes in citrus hues. The bride and groom looked radiant in lemon yellow and white outfits as their family and friends smeared them with turmeric paste.

Wedding
The wedding saw quaint decor elements such as an ivory and peach palette with flowers, drapes and fairylights. Looking dapper in a white and peach sherwani, Ashish arrived in a vintage car with his dancing baraat, while Sonal entered with her family. She walked under a floral canopy and looked beautiful in her peach and mint lehenga. The couple tied the knot under a mandap filled with white flowers.
