Filled with foliage and dreamy lights, Srishti Sharma, an architect and Siddharth Bali, an e-commerce professional’s wedding struck the right balance between whimsy and elegance. Planned and decorated by WeddingSutra Favorite – Nazara, their union looked straight out of a modern fairytale.
Wedding Planning
Bride Srishti shares, “We had always dreamt of a minimal but pretty decor for the wedding. Our main aim was to not go overboard with anything and keep everything as elegant as possible. Due to COVID-19 we did face many restrictions but with Nazara on our team, the sailing was smooth as they took care of the heavy lifting that comes with planning a wedding which allowed us to sit back and enjoy the wedding.”
Weddings Functions
Bride’s Haldi and Mehndi
Hosted at the bride’s home, Srishti’s haldi took place in the morning under the bright sunshine surrounded by colorful marigold garlands. For her mehndi, she opted for a comfy atmosphere indoors where she lounged on the sofa getting her palms patterned while her family and friends gathered around her and exchanged banter.
Chooda
For the home-based chooda ceremony, the decor was kept simple with a floral arch, garlands and white drapes. The event emanated a playful atmosphere as the bride was surrounded by her gal pals and shook her kaleerien over their heads.
Groom’s Haldi
Siddharth’s haldi was also a home-based event where he was playfully slathered in a mix of turmeric. Minimalistic yet fun, the event brimmed with joy.
Wedding
Srishti shares, “The wedding was actually better than anything I’d dreamed of! I loved how the decor team played with blooms and added a few unconventional flowers like hydrangeas into the mix. There were also pastel hues across the venue along with the gold ones which balanced everything out perfectly. Orb-like lights played peek-a-boo through the suspended foliage and lent the wedding a dreamy vibe.”
