A divine confluence of luxury and traditions, Sumalya and Arjun’s beguiling wedding at Taj Lands End, Mumbai, paints an alluring portrait of love. Watch it come alive in these stunning shots by WeddingSutra Favorite – Happyframes.
The couple wanted a dreamy ambience of a destination getaway with the comfort and convenience of a city hotel, and they found their perfect venue at Taj Lands End, Mumbai. Steeped in modern luxury, classic Taj hospitality and incredible ocean views, it provided a magical backdrop to their wedding festivities.
The couple entrusted K Events to plan and orchestrate their wedding festivities, while the talented team of Happyframes was roped in to capture their special moments in vivid shots. Sharing their experience, they say, “It was lovely having them around us. It was a wonderful experience having our most special moments encapsulated by them. They shot some wonderful candids which otherwise would have gotten lost in the excitement, and those we will cherish forever!”
The couple welcomed their friends and family with a lovely Lunch Soiree to kickstart the festivities. The relaxed gathering allowed everyone to unwind and mingle as they geared up for the evening.
The Sangeet function saw classic glam decor with tropical touches for an understated yet exciting evening of music and dance. Exotic foliage contrasted with edgy golden elements and warm lighting to set a whimsical ambience for the ballroom gathering. The bride looked sensational in a shimmering navy lehenga by Shantanu and Nikhil, while the groom wore a textured crimson ensemble by Kunal Rawal.
The next morning began with a lively Haldi soiree on the hotel lawns. The traditional yellow decor of the ceremony got a vibrant twist with hues of orange and fuchsia, making for a charming contrast against the lush greenery of the space. The couple and their loved ones matched the mood in bright citrus-hued outfits as they gathered for the ritual, and that morning saw an abundance of love and laughter.
Brimming with the colors of summer, the wedding ceremony saw vibrant floral decor with exotic blooms that heightened the beauty of the lush outdoor venue. Wearing an Anita Dongre lehenga in a vivid shade of magenta, the bride walked down the aisle under a mesmerizing multicolored Phoolon ki Chaadar. The groom opted for a serene ivory sherwani by Kunal Rawal while complimenting the bride with magenta accessories as they tied the knot under a surreal-looking floral mandap.
The wedding festivities came to an end with a glitzy Reception dinner that saw a blend of warm family moments. The groom looked dapper in a Gaurav Gupta tuxedo while the bride dazzled in a sculptural couture gown by Amit Agarwal in a stunning wine hue. The newlyweds cut an exotic-looking cake amidst great cheers as fireworks erupted around them.
