How we met
The bride shares, “Living in London, we met on Hinge a little before Covid hit the world. Our initial period of getting to know each other consisted of days spent just walking miles to meet each other. Our dates revolved around our shared love of food and endless conversations, and the comfort we felt in each other’s presence became the core of our relationship. Loki even proposed to me at our house in London when I was literally in my pajamas, and completely took me by surprise. We celebrated with lots of happy selfies in our home, before going out for a lovely dinner”.

Wedding Venue
The couple had always wanted a beach wedding and found their perfect wedding venue at ITC Grand Goa. The beauty and versatility of the property allowed them to create four distinct functions with a new look and feel each time.

Wedding Planning
The couple wanted to immortalize their special moments in all their vivid beauty and chose LensEyeZia Productions for the task. Talking about the experience they share, “LensEyeZia captured some incredible moments that we will cherish forever. As a team, they were extremely professional and understanding. Akanksha was my point of contact from the beginning and her expertise is showcased in her work. They also covered our Mumbai Reception, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Picking them was the best decision we could have made”.

She adds, “Another team that was great to work with was The Wedding Bartenders. They mixed some of the most amazing cocktails and went the extra mile in personalizing the experience for all our guests. Our card designer, a freelance artist Trisha Salvi, made the most beautiful video card for us, bringing to life stunning animations of the themes we had envisioned”.

Wedding Functions
Mehndi
The celebrations kicked off with a lively mehndi to welcome all their guests. Imagined with a boho yet whimsical vibe with ice-cream colored pastels and dream catchers in ITC’s Magical Forest, the decor set a soft, romantic ambiance without overpowering the essence of the event, which was to meet and mingle with their friends and family. In typical Punjabi style, a rousing dhol band got everyone in the mood to dance while color bombs filled the atmosphere with joy. The bride wore a sage green and gold embroidered gharara, while the groom complimented her with a forest green outfit.

Sangeet
Designed with the grandiose theme Nawabi – Sharabi – Kebabi, the Sangeet function was orchestrated with decadent Awadhi cuisine, delicious cocktails, divine entertainment, and the ornate decor of chandeliers, enchanted mirrors, and candles. The bride sported a shimmering rose gold sequinned lehenga while the groom wore a black and gold hand-embroidered Sherwani.

Haldi
Hosted at the deck of the Royal Afghan restaurant right by the beach, the Haldi ceremony was replete with sunny yellow decor, refreshing sea breeze, and tons of fun. The bride look radiant in a lemon-yellow organic cotton saree made by her mom with her grandmom’s Kamar bandh, while the groom wore a yellow kurta that was soon torn apart by his spirited friends in a fun ritual. Showered with haldi and flowers by their loved ones, the bride and groom surprised everyone by running straight into the waves.

Wedding
The couple tied the knot in a dreamy sunset wedding on the Seaside lawns of ITC Grand Goa. The “enchanted forest meets beach boho” decor theme set a magical tone for the sunset lighting of the occasion, making for an ethereal sight. Dressed in a dainty pink lehenga with soft green embroidery, the bride got her princess moment as she entered with her bridesmaids and the seven vows she had written for her new life with Lokesh. The groom wore a beautiful powder blue sherwani that perfectly complemented the bride as they took their vows amidst their loved ones.
