Tanvi and Atmeek, Udaipur
An intimate celebration at the luxurious RAAS Devigarh near Udaipur.
A decade-long journey of love, Tanvi Agarwal and Atmeek Sohni’s charming wedding took place in the 18th century palace hotel RAAS Devigarh in Rajasthan. Captured by WeddingSutra Favorite – The Wedding Crasher, their intimate festivities painted a pretty picture against the historic palace backdrop.
How they met
A high-school love that bloomed into an enduring commitment of over 10 years, Tanvi and Atmeek’s story began in Kodaikanal in 2011. Stepping into adulthood together, they both grew as a couple, in step with each other always and soon decided to tie the knot.
Tanvi shares, “Atmeek proposed to me at my Aunt’s house ‘Latitude’ at Kamshet, which was very fitting as my aunt had always been very supportive of our relationship. He set up a beautiful gazebo by the lake and with all my favorite things- cake, champagne, flowers, sheesha, the works! He went down on one knee and before he could finish saying what he wanted to, I jumped up and said ‘yes’.”
The couple decided to host an intimate destination wedding at the stylish RAAS Devigarh that boasts of 39 cool suites. The festivities at this imposing hill-side venue overlooking a village were planned by Trailblaze Productions, and the task of capturing their special moments was entrusted to the team of The Wedding Crasher. The couple share, “We had a great time working with The Wedding Crasher, they captured every moment special to us and the overall experience was seamless.”
The wedding functions kicked off with a vibrant carnival-themed mehndi. The bride wore a bright fuchsia palazzo set for the occasion, as she got her hands painted with beautiful henna designs, while the groom kept it breezy in chinos, a white shirt, and a mint day blazer. The function was followed by the engagement ceremony under the stars.
Held in the courtyard area, the sunny Haldi function was drenched in warm traditions. Strings of marigolds with tasseled ends created a vibrant canopy over the festivities, as the bride and groom were doused in turmeric paste, laughter and love by their family and friends.
The romantic pastel-themed wedding saw delicate decor of flowers, the groom arrived in the royal glory of a vintage car, while the bride walked in under a phoolon ki chadar designed with white blooms. Her richly embroidered blush pink lehenga looked perfectly coordinated with the groom’s ivory ensemble as they tied the knot under the floral mandap. The nuptials were followed by a rocking Sangeet and after-party to end the celebrations on a high note.
Advice for couples
“Your wedding is made up of months of planning, processes, tears, joy culminating into a few days of celebrations. Once the special day arrives, just focus on absorbing and enjoying as much as you can. Those few days are about you and your partner, and none of the stress over tiny details will matter.”
